Well we keep finding more and more fans, garlad you are just adding to the group. So let's keep all football related content in this thread since we are small group of fans who actually follow we can't make threads that only one person will reply. Anyways Scott, Baliey, Dattebayo and myself all follow pro football. The same people in addition to Bravesfan and jrocca have/play FIFA09.

To answer your question from the other thread, yes I do follow. I don't have a particular team in the EPL, but I enjoy watching the games. However I am liking Liverpool this year, I think if they don't win it now they won't in a long time! they are finally reaching that talent threshold and it's their time! Torres is in a fantastic level and Benitez is having no issues with players so what else can I say? ManU is finally losing grip. Chelsea is a mess I think, they keep buying players and more players that bring a huge ego and that's why the teams is so inconsistent! the egos that team has will not let them find their rhythm. Arsenal has a relatively young team that will only get better and I keep reading everywhere that they might lose Fabregas this next summer....

I used to watch plenty of the Spanish league, but I lost GolTV which used to show all the games every weekend. Fox Sports channel now shows the EPL and the Serie A Italian league which is not bad, but not the same.

Bayern were the better team by far. But in this competition you need your luck, and boy did Chelsea use every ounce of their luck throughout the entire competition. Congrats!

In this most astonishing of seasons, I wonder if this is a precursor to England actually doing something worthwhile in the Euro's?!

UEFA Euro 2012, so what do you people say about it? How is your teams form before the start? Anyone that can pick the top 3 this time?

Really looking forward for this to "kick-off" my team (Sweden) is looking pretty ok. I think we have some defensive issues although and our group is pretty tough with Ukraine, France and England. It`s gonna be close...I´m hoping that Sweden and England comes through.

My top 3 are Spain, Netherlands and Germany...low odds on these I believe.

I've got tickets for the Sweden v England match a week on Friday! Kiev here I come :D

I don't have high hopes about England (as usual) so not expecting anything spectacular!

Kagawa to United, awesome news!
Cannot wait to see that bad boy in a United shirt!
A much better deal than Hazard to Chelsea any day!

Also, very much looking forward to the Euro Championship also! Not long left at all!

Awesomeeeeeeeeeeee ^_^

These are the first set of games, starting from Friday (All GMT):

Hey, just a thought...Could we organise a team draw and the winner gets a prize?...And I'll donate a new sealed SB to the winner.

I think Poland and Russia will win on Friday, easy(?)
Germany vs Portugal, Spain vs Italy and France vs England....now there are some great matches.

Would be fun with a contest....whos is the Paul the Octopus (RIP) here on the board. There can be only one! :D

PS Hubmuswell...great idea! I can add something to the pot also. DS

Go for it, I am in! :scat:

Damn I think it is safe to say that Friday I can not worry much about the games. Saturday seems to have some very good games. Sunday and Monday aren't bad either.

Kick-off day!
My Weber is ready and the beer is on ice, gonna see as many games as I can.

PS FanOfGaming: Think van Bommel is gonna be a nice boy this time? I´m not to sure about it..:) DS

Holy smack, what a freaking two days of fine football!

I didn't expect much from Friday games, but boy where they entertaining!

Ref was without a doubt helping Poland, that two yellows were definitely not yellows.

I couldn't believe the way Holland lost today. They got tired of missing and missing. They got two more games I think they can still make it to the next round.

I wasn't surprised that Germany won and it was definitely satisfying seeing Ronaldo and Portugal lose! I can't wait until they are out and see him fail again :p

England-France should be good tomorrow.

I agree that we have seen some good football/soccer these days. Too bad about the polis player number 12 (referee) but in the end it was ok. Poland should have closed the game but lacked the experience.

In the Russia game I was suprised in the beginning, they had a hard time at first.

I was even more suprised when Denmark won, but if you want to beat the dutch you have to play flawless in tactics and that was what they did. I don´t know are there "too many stars" in the dutch team?

To be honest I was expecting a bit more from Germany and Portugal, that game was a bit of a disapointment.

Now I am looking forward for Spain vs Italy...go Torres and co. After that I hope the Irish can beat Croatia...not easy though.

Russia destroyed the Czech Republic, I guess that team is playing like it has nothing to lose. Good display from them I think.

The dutch have good players, but they did miss way too many. Robben needs to simply stop being so damn nice when it comes time to put it in the net. He had one clear chance to put it in the back of the net on a breakaway and instead he passed the ball.

Spain - Italy will be a good match as well. Although I don't really think there will be a surprise there, this Italy is by far the worst I've seen in a very very long time. I watched a few of their friendlies and boy were they disappointing. If Xavi and Iniesta come on their good day they can easily take over the game.

Aye Russia looked very good, it was a good game to watch.

Holland on the other hand lol Put your chances away guys!! Well played to Denmark :)
