I think they should be required to have a photo sent in order to get a free replacement. I sure wouldn't send out a replacement for what I see in that pic.

Hoping you guys don't ruin it for the rest of us who order from them.

well i have one on order thats supposed to be shipped with the Blades in Oct. i havent decided whether to keep the order.
if it comes in with chips, they dont have replacements to send to me anyway since its out of stock. So its likely ill have to return it to them, what a hassle...

I know how you feel. I have made many orders from amazon.co.jp, and sometimes I get paint chips/scratches that I don't bother emailing them about. The girl with the dragon tattoo was the first Steelbook that I requested a replacement, and the only reason I asked was before it was so expensive and I wanted a mint copy. In my email I actually asked how I can send it back for a replacement, but they offered me a free replacement and let me keep the original one. How could I have refused? I did feel a little guilty though, but then again, I have spent more than two thousand dollars at amazon.co.jp

Thats cool. As long as you don't abuse the system I have no problem.

In stock right now but not sure whether to order. I don't like the idea of all these paint chips/ideas about B-Grade stock etc. Returns are such a hassle to non-English speaking companies.

:(My replacement copy arrived worse than my 1st copy. Both of the slipcovers are creased heavily. Seriously, Amazon.jp needs to revise their shipping methods when it comes to steelbooks. Going to see if I can send both back for a full refund.

I dont seem to have an issue with Amazon JP packaging, mate. Maybe coz I always make it a point to buy 5-6, so they vacuum shrink-wrap the couple of items, put a sturdy backing cardboard, and into a box. I must say the packaging is as good as the steelbook shrink-wraps. Typically Japanese...

Same here. so far, I have been impressed by their packaging and 2 day shipping duration!
