I know. Time will tell. It will be not the first G2 steelbook, that ended up G1.

Hopefully Warner did learn and no longer act so stubborn.

Fnac is selling the 3D version like Amazon but it won't be a Fnac edition with sticker.

Packaging is good. Ten times better than Fnac.

They are better recently. If you order more than one of these editions, they'll package it in a steelbook box that they do - and then maybe in a bigger box.

Last order I did was 3x steels and that's how they were packaged.

I think if you do 1 only, you do run the risk of them just shipping in that steelbook box, and that's it.

Might have to consider getting the FNAC one instead of the Amazon 3D.

Just to maximize the difference of the ones that I've ordered so far.

(Had to get gollum, since according to the poll, the majority of folks are getting them all or just gollum)

It looks the same size to me, just lower so you can see more of his hat and less of one hand. The edges are the same on both as far as I can tell.

Could be it, that they just adjusted it that way perhaps - definitely looks a bit different on first glance - the most glaring piece to me is seeing less of Gandalf's hands.

I will, but I don't think that FNAC stores will release an exclusive for this title.
These steelbooks will be the same for all french retailers

If they end up doing a FNAC exclusive, the GB will concern that one !
