I'm pretty sure they are not extended versions. I read somewhere that those are to be released seperately later on in the year. Apparently they still haven't decided what extra material they are going to use in the extended version.

They are definitely not the extended versions. They are going to milk this for all it's worth! I think the extended are fall release. Just before Hobbt part 2 comes out in the theater.

I just hope the Gold banner is going on the 2D versions, that 3D Gandalf looks fantastic but I love the Gollum one (which I have already ordered!) this could get very expensive.

True but the Steelbooks also look G1 whilst we know they won't be. And the 3D-edition looks like it could very well have a lenticular magnet

The steels don't look G1 to me.
Don't know if there will be a magnet on the 3d, but i m guessing tere won't(not feeling like it will be one).

Hmm, but you can "see" the Border on the large Pic of the 3D Version

I'm pretty sure the 3D one will be like the French release of Looper. Lenticular magnet with border.

Oh no, sorry Border/Frame on the front... possibly to hold the magnetic lenticular cover in the middle. Like the MM 3D ones with lenti covers...
