Yeah this 3d edition is awesome! Really like it, if I had to pick a fault it, it would be the spine, I understand why it's in French as its a french release, but why upside down! Still ordered it tho

I have already opened a 3D copy... not very tempted with the 2D ones, even if I must admit that they look much nicer than expected

Someone somewhere will open these 2D steels ! I hope.........

Yes it is.... The French & the MM version are lenticular !

After seeing the pics on here,and after cancelling my original order of the Gollum SB,I have re-ordered,but this time gone for the Gandalf lenticular cover.think this looks great.such a shame though that the 2D ones have the yellow banner.btw the price of the 3D version is now €29.99

Got my 3D Gandalf yesterday.

This is one heavy steelbook!
Not sure why. Maybe because of the magnet.
Anyway, it makes it feel a high quality product.

The 3D effect on the lenti card is mediocre, IMO.
I've seen better, I've seen worst.

I think the German lenti card is better - it's bigger and have more details.
But - it's not the image that's printed on the steelbook itself (is it magnetic?)
So - I'm happy with my french edition.
