Reference "Futureshop" History = The Steelbook "2012"

It's been discussed, but no actual pictures to show the paint chip issue.

As you ALL should know, the D12 steelbook has a manufacturer's defautl on it. 90% of all the steels I've received have this paint chip issue. Nothing serious, but for you all OCD collectors, sorry guys...
I've been in stores to check the copies they received and it's the SAME problem!

I am still waiting for my order of 2 D12's. Should be here Monday, my local FS only had the MockingJay version in store when I went at noon on saturday.

Well I missed the boat on this one I guess, I didn't realize they weren't supposed to be in stores and were an online order or I would have placed an order for one and had it shipped to my sister. She went in looking to get both versions for me and the store by her house only had the Mockingjay Version so she picked that up for me, I guess I will have to resort to ebay for the District 12 version.

Downtown Montreal FutureShop received only 6 copies of "district 12" and they were gone in 5 minutes after opening.

There are about 3.

The "Downtown" Location = Pretty Small Stocks because the Store is SMALL and the Steelbooks are placed strategically (1st Floor and 2nd Floor)

I got to agree, just this past week being in Canada - Mr BiscuitNoir did Magic and made me SPENT $$$ in shopping (Futureshop and other Canadian Stores)

unfortunately it seems a majority have a paint chip issue, but surprisingly not a lot of denting. Seeing as this is OOP and kind of unique even with a paint chip it should still be popular.

MY copy is opened/mint. But the paint is really fragile on that steel... If you have the luxury to keep it sealed, do it.

Thanks for that tip; I will keep it sealed and open the mockingjay version (one day when I get them)

Just went onto FutureShop website it said sold out online but I did store pick up so I ordered 4 copies from Ottawa east and it let me purchase them even though it said sold out online.

Lucky me now it says that location is sold out

Just opened up 1 of my two copies... there was some scratches/chips underneath the J-card which kind of suck.. debating whether to return it for a mocking jay version or just unload this copy.

Paint chips are popular on this Steelbook apparently. There is not one buyer that has yet to say there is NO paint chips.

I have one on the way to me. No idea if there will be chips or not. I am keeping it sealed however as it wont play on my blu-ray player.
