I'm not sure, but I think I read somewhere they decide based in print runs. Since it's 1500 copies for this they are including it in the Exclusive line. Still, I think Kimchi is getting lazy with their releases. I hope there is a good reason for it. But like yourself, I may end up skipping this.
Not anymore. Hitman had a 800 print run. I think Kimchidvd is forced by Fox to include it in the exclusive line. Fox needs Kimchidvd to sell crappy movies.

If the actual steel was nicer I might have double dipped. Will wait for BF or FA to do this one..hopefully Full Slip to match 1st film

Note: In My Opinion this should be classified as Kimchi Collection since WWA Steel... as they did with Cinderella, but ''Kimchi Collection'' Release of Cinderella had both lenti and Fullslip editions, they put some effort into that one and made one of the most beautiful Fullslip Package for 2015 ! Stunning Fullslip for Cinderella

I agree with the Fullslips it is so Stunning, on my list of Top 10 Fullslip Package of 2015 ! But for the Lenticular I did not feel that one, but than again I don't like lenticular that slips on from the TOP... I don't mind and do like Lenticulars when on a FullSlip Box like Blufans does ie: GOTG, FROZEN...FullslipBox but really nice lenti attached to the front. Blufans do it well.
wouldnt mind getting the Maze Runner steel's but definitely wont be jumping on the pre-order of this when it goes live.

@rj531 and @AlienKingNow this sucks. WWA steelbook (which I already have) and the only extras are art cards + numbering card. I'd say this is Kimchi being lazy.
On the plus side, the lenticular looks great. Can't decide if I should get this or wait for FA to release one. They sure are taking their sweet time to announce it.

Not necessarily all of their exclusives have WEA. They can't seem to make up their mind on the requirements for Kimchi exclusives vs Kimchi collection. They did this before with some of their releases.
This is the WWA steelbook, so same as everywhere else in the world (though steelbook finish might differ in countries)

I'm good with the no frills steelbook from Best Buy, for now. And I'll wait until the end of the series to see if one of the premium retailers releases a full Maze Runner set.
