So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

Those are surely just placeholders, awaiting stock maybe? No-one is realistically going to try and sell those items for that price.

I messaged a seller about postage costs from CA to UK for 1 jumbo steel...here is his reply:

"Hi there, I actually now have a Flat Rate shipping costs for OverSeas deliveries. Shipping is $100, You can buy 1 Steelbook, or 15 Steelbooks. The price would be the same. Unfortunately, Shipping small packages has become very expensive, and when you add Tracking and Insurance, Its even more. I have had too many steelbooks get lost over the past year, and this is the only way to solve this problem. Thanks"

100$!!!!!!!!!!

Canada Post might have the most expensive postal rate in the world when it comes to the overseas delivery. Not $100, but $80 is more likely the trackable expresspost rate for shipping the jumbo steelbook to UK. Just recently Canada Post introduced a new track pack rate which is slightly cheaper than the expresspost rate, about $60 also comes with the tracking No.. I think the seller had some bad lucks before. Shipping without a tracking No. for Ebay sale is quite risky and more likely giving stuffs for free.

Am I blind or has the ebay seller discussion thread gone?

This guy is really annoying http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=steelbooks-direct&ftab=AllFeedback&sspagename=ADME:X:AAQ:GB:1183 Yesterday, he asked me to sell a steel £10 cheaper outside of eBay, and I said no I was not willing to do that. Today he sends me another message asking me to sell 2 steels outside of eBay, one for £10 less than the price I have it listed at and one for £15 less. He's not getting the message, so I've reported both messages to eBay.

Not sure about $100 but it costs between $65-68 (CDN) to ship 1 steelbook inside box from Canada to Europe with tracking & ExpressPost through Canada Post. It's why I avoid doing trades with someone outside NA.

wont get many trades done on here with that option :hilarious:

2 steels to UK from CA is about $21.00 and only takes less then a week to get here

But no tracking, I think that's the point he's making. But I do believe it's more like $60 or $70 for tracking. Still ridiculous

I recently tried this new method and it arrives really fast too!!! So, when you have a 2kg and less package to send overseas with high value (needing a tracking #), it's the best!!! :scat:
