So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

The reason the 2nd hand market is dying is because there are too many young chaps who think they are gonna make a killing on ebay. Ive seen at least a dozen in the last two years come and go. Dumping product is what happens. Two years ago in the U.S. there was on average of 2000 listings for Blu-ray steelbook in the search. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks they are gonna make steelbook selling their main source of income.

That person is also breaking the rules. He has the entire first page covered in batches of 4 of the same item. Some people just have to break the rules in order to try to compete with the pros.

These are not even the cost price. This is why I stopped pre-ordered Asian Steels unless it is some very special edition like Kimchi or Blufans. But in the current overcrowded market nothing is safe. Never ever imagine that what you got in the past 12~18 months is a grail.

Regarding blufans, I can see that Jack Reacher, Wreck It Ralph and the initial ones like FMC have lost their sheen as they have sold for GB price.

Same goes to T2 Kimchi.

The sealed quality releases will only appreciate in the future, the junk... not so much.

Except for the ES Star Trek:Into the Darkness, you're sitting on a lot of resale dogs that you wish were Kimchi T2's. No wonder you're always looking for steels for cheap.

Buy, Blu-ray Steelbooks because you like them and want them, unless you're serious and smart like Chip and a few others that enjoy making a little money on the side. ;)

This listing sold for $55.98 USD shipped to the US.

This is the cheap UK Zaavi release that could have been pre-ordered for $38.81 USD shipped to the US.

I know its Rare ultra low printrun. But the Slip is just standard, so i doubt anybody will pay this price... I think $50-$70 is the right value?! Whats your opinion?

I think $229.00 USD is the right value. That's what it sold for. :p
