True enough about the top bidder. But 2nd highest bidder is willing to bid 180 quid for it, only 5 less than the top bidder. Not too shabby no? Unless of course, this bidder also couldn't be trusted either. Who to trust these days? It can really blow your mind sometimes.

I think you are missing the fact that the second bidder has a 75% bid activity with the seller so it is probably both been shill bidded by two bidders driving the price up since the legitimate bid of £25.

When I want to bid on an eBay item, I look at the price, and decided if I want to bid on it or not. I don't waste anytime deciding if Schill bidding or any kind of nonsense that's going on. I have a price firmly in mind, that's the max I'll pay for an item. Why waste so much time worrying about Schill bidding? Really who cares? By looking at someone's fake eBay name, you could tell that he's a Schill bidder? I'm not saying that it doesn't go on, but I would love to see you, or anyone else prove it in a court of law.

It's called balance of probabilities and with the Thor HMV steel bidded at £185 of two people who really want that item, of course not considering you can acquire one much cheaper. of course its shill bidding, if anyone actually pays attention, Thor HMV goes for bids between £70 - £85 realistically and any silly bids of £185 is nonsense. Basic common sense. Not exactly a rare steel as Thor Zavvi has increased many to start selling their HMV copies.

Yes, quite a decent price. I am sorry/sad to note this is actually a (ex-)member on HDN who was recently banned for failing to honour some trades with several members, and who continues to ignore emails from the said members...

Shill bidding can easily be detected and proven by ebay. They just don't care, the only one it would benefit is the buyer who can luck out and get an item cheaper.
