So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

Chip, I am guessing they just don't have time to get listings down faster, given the number of listings, or they are not as strict with the policy, or there just aren't enough reports...not sure.

There are a couple on the us site doing the same thing. Some people need to cheat in order to play the game it seems. Tells me they are in financial distress and they are going to be in a rude awakening when I unload here pretty shortly. I am not getting out, I am just trimming off about 1/6th of what I have. I might even start doing pre-orders as well. What the heck.

I am selling one of my PS4 preorders, and you can only list 30 days out so I was unable to list mine until just the other day.. yet if you look in the "SOLD" listings, someone sold one a month ago for $2k, yet it was ok for them to list it. I just don't understand if it's ok for some to list, yet not ok for others.

Needs to be a level playing field for all IMO.

And to respond to the other question above. That person does not even show the actual item being listed. Around 95% of all my listings are of the actual product. I take photos from all 4 sides and a front and back photo. Its a lot of work, but I feel everyone should be able to know what they are gonna get. Some weeks I snap 300-400 photos just for the listings I am putting up that week.

With all my listings I always take pictures of the Front, back and spine. That way there is no ambiguity about the condition of the steel.

As for pre-orders; obviously this cant be done and leaves the seller open to cases of items not being a described. However, I'd rather someone put up the stock photo from Zavvi etc than 'borrow' early release pictures from forums of the actual product because it leaves less informed people thinking that that is the actual one they'll get.

These are not even the cost price. This is why I stopped pre-ordered Asian Steels unless it is some very special edition like Kimchi or Blufans. But in the current overcrowded market nothing is safe. Never ever imagine that what you got in the past 12~18 months is a grail.

Regarding blufans, I can see that Jack Reacher, Wreck It Ralph and the initial ones like FMC have lost their sheen as they have sold for GB price.

Same goes to T2 Kimchi.

Very true but I think the amount of steels being released has contributed to this with people trying hard to get new releases and cut back on ones which they might like to have but don't really need.
