So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

Doesn't make sense mate. All are different sellers with different feedback count.

What I am trying to say is for example, I bid on other sellers steels that I own, not steels I am selling on auction. By inflating the steels on bids will give the buyers the false sense of price. So when I come to sell it, someone thinks that those steels are those silly prices.

steelbookdirect was doing that on every single Jack Reacher remember until I sniffed him out. He was bidding well over £100 and he bought and paid a majority of them. He then listed them for upto £200. But he's taken a big loss because he cannot sell them for what he paid for, + the 15% ebay fees as well to take into account. I seen this type of tactic now and then.

Its not an error though. Its just the wrapping is wrong. Big deal. I got dozens of steels with the backer card on backwards.

I listed 2 of my orders of GI JOE up on ebay as I had 2 people cancel their orders with me.

there is however one person on ebay bidding up their own listing and also sabotaging others by putting it up to a ridiculous price.. mine was up to £60 but I cancelled the bids so it went back down.

I have been warning other sellers of this on ebay too and we have reported him to ebay.

Ebay says they have dealt with it but he is still a member and is still got his item listed up to £45 by doing this tactic with a secondary account.
