I feel your pain. I work a TON in MS Access and Excel, and build scripts for all kinds of stuff to tabulate across multiple workbooks and databases... I've written a script over 2,000 lines of code and had it mostly wiped out by accidentally kicking out my power cord.

 burns me up just thinking about it again...

I would have been so pissed about that too!

oh man that has to suck! I was doing some prep work for a project and updating a workbook one day and my stupid pc crashed. When it came to I had lost all my workbooks that I had been keeping track of, everything gone. This was months of record keeping and spreadsheets that I had built and perfected over time with scripts and macros, poof, gone. I was so steamed! I spent the next week trying to recover as much as possible from the hard drive and recreating everything again.

ugh I am so underpaid at work and they keep tacking on more and more work. Then they wonder why all the other guys left a few weeks ago. On top of it, they feel the victims and are pissed that they left for better opportunities.

Why can't I be overpaid like 80% of the other folks around here.

I feel ya man.. I'm so underpaid for all the crap I do around here... One of these days ima set the building on fire.

Just make sure you get your red stapler out before you do.

Sounds like we are having the same kind of day. I've had a lot of stuff added to my to do list today. :( Oh well, job security I guess.

I am in the process of finishing my work so I can go elsewhere. I don't want to burn bridges. I decided is time to move on, but I want to be professional and finish what I started before going. I see no possible way to move up at this place and year after year they keep giving me less and less in raises while others keep getting more and more and promotions up the wazoo. So I am tired of this.

I am covering shift for a guy who is leaving to Japan and going to a conference in Taiwan and when he is back I will finish my other work and be out of here. I think it's time.

good, you should talk it out with the boss of a raise first and if he say's it's not possible....your finishing your project and leaving, they'll get the message.

I'm really getting sick of the best buy's near me, especially the closest one. I'm to the point of not going there to buy anything but video games, and even that is a stretch since most of the time they are out of the games i want to buy.

their customer service is getting really crappy. half of the manager's are d-bags, and their policies just dont make sense sometimes. for example: was interested in buying an ipad as a christmas gift, asked them their holiday return policy, and they say they dont have one for the ipad, its just a standard 14 days.

hmmm, thats weird, basically it forces everyone who wants to get the item as a gift and have the option of letting the recipient return it has to buy it after dec 12 at the earliest. dumb. so what do i do? i call the apple store across the street and ask them their return policy.

what does the store that makes the flippin thing have for a return policy? january 8th.

tell me how that makes sense!? i could have gotten $10 back had i bought it at best buy in RZ gift card, but im too fed up with this store to care anymore. i went to the customer service desk and told them about apple's return policy and they said oh, we cant do that. so i said buh bye and took my business elsewhere.

this example in isolation doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but for my entire adult life and even when i was a teenage ive been having problems with various issues with best buy. and im sick of dealing with it. i never have this many issues with any other store.

anyways, long rant

The guy at Best Buy just doesn't know his stuff, everything at Best Buy, from here on out is in the holiday return policy.

Best Buy always has varying policies. I'm pretty much done with them as well. Haven't bought anything from them in months. Been using Amazon which is always the same price or lower as BB.

it was 2 guys and 1 girl who all said the same thing, including someone at customer service. i wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't the actual policy either

As a girl I don't like Best Buy. I go in there cause Wreck goes but I think that most people that work at BB don't know jack. They don't care to read the policies and remember them. They should be saying, "can you give me a sec let me find out." No, they let their ass speak for them. Plus, they are always asking, "can I help you find something?" Mother F***er, if I need help I'll look for you. I am to busy watching my kid and reading the back of the item i'm interested in. Obviously I found what I'm looking for.

:hilarious: I know! One time I was asked 8 different times if I needed help as I was making way directly where I wanted to lol. And the ONE time I actually did need someone on a different occasion, took them 30 mins before they actually did help me.

Sorry to hear that dude.... good luck in your ensueing search.

Sounds like your wife opted for the "grass is always greener" approach, bummer... For you though, the grass is definitely greener, there's always something better after a crappy situation like that. Keep on rockin'

And they say that only men think this way :p

Life goes on man, I wish you good luck on your future plans. Cheer up because life ain't over and you got to live it to the fullest.

April Fools

I got an annoy-a-tron 2.0 that plays crickets, and of course my old annoy-a-tron and the evil-tron

I planted them all over the office, and I'm leaving them until the battery dies.

They are going nuts trying to find this magical cricket. I stuck it on the underside of the chicks desk drawer.. even if she were to open the drawer, she won't find it unless she starts feeling around the bottom of her desk drawers.

victory is mine, for the rest of april.
