Don`t quite know if I`m in the right thread for this but I got a question.
I know I`m new to the forum and all but I just posted a message in the topic "what have you recently purchased and watched"
Isn`t it easier and more clearly to have these threads seperated and make seperate topics for purchased and watched?
just an idea, maybe it`ll give a better overview ;)

Here's a definite rant and plea which I never thought I'd be saying.

"Can Studios in the UK please, please stop releasing so many Steelbooks in the UK. You are killing collecting for me and I'm sure others as well, almost to the point of giving up. Please can you think before you schedule your releases, and don't rely on so many catalogue titles in those schedules"

Agreed. They are starting to release them like the amaray versions.

EBAY's new search engine sucks

i am trying to search for my own listing(non steelbook) on ebay using the new ebay search engine. i can't find it and i know what i am looking for.

previously, i would do a general search and then refine/filter my search to go where i wanted. that is all gone now. you start general, get specific, then go general, then get specific again....for my particular item.

i spoke to an ebay agent...and about 10% of users have this new search engine. i wrote a long complaint.

honestly...i discovered steelbooks on ebay looking for deals on blu rays to update my collection. for me, ebay was awesome for buyers because it exposed me to a variety of products that i never knew existed.

as i am writing this...i wonder if ebay is making it more difficult to find 'risky' or questionable items...items that have a lot of open dispute cases....seems logical from a business standpoint.

wow...this rant thread really works. i feel so much better now'. thanks hidef!:D

Idiot eBay Seller

Bought a sealed copy of Green Hornet off of eBay for under £15 :)
Arrived today and the numpty seller has removed the price sticker from the top corner, ripped the poly seal and somehow managed to removed some of the j-card with it
Leave it alone!
Rant over ;)

Least it was a great price if not damaged ... guess youll just have to open that one.

I hate how girls play GTA multiplayer better than me... I mean common get back in the kitchen.EEK!:violent::star wars::shoot::emb:mg::sniper::snipe::eek::BS::drool::angry::angry:

Right, can't find an eBay moan thread so here i must vent.
I am sick of eBay sellers listing steels and NOT mentioning dings, dents or other issues.
It's happened three times now.
First up was Paul. I got that cheap, shoulda known really - I guess that was a case of me wanting the steel more than the movie so I let it slide. I figured, it's a placeholder until I can get a mint sealed one.
That was over 6 months back and all was going well. Then I got Gladiator UK version, with the helmet cover and artcards. Amazing steel, cards and discs immaculate, but what's this I see? A small pea size ding in the back, where the text is. More of a pen prick I guess, and guess what - not mentioned. Life being busy - I let it go.
This morning I got my Play.com Pulp Fiction, packed by someone who clearly knows their steel books as it was secure, using a mix of play.com box and Zavvi foam. Lovely steel and at a BIN of £19.95, with free postage, well.... if something seems too good to be true, it often is. There's a dent on the rear case, upper next to the spine. Not severe, but noticeable and annoying. Mentioned in the listing? No way.
The default eBay term used for the condition is Very Good. eBay describe that as;
Very Good: An item that has been used, but is in very good condition. No damage to the jewel case or item cover, no scuffs, scratches, cracks, or holes. The cover art and liner notes are included. The VHS or DVD box is included. The video game instructions and box are included. The teeth of the disk holder (in the DVD box) is undamaged. Minimal wear on the exterior of item. No skipping on the CD or DVD, when played. No fuzzy or snowy frames on VHS tape, when played. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections.
I class damage to the case as just that - not minimal wear to the exterior of the item.
Anyway, I got it for a fair price given the damage - I've emailed the seller and am not asking him/her to refund or any form of recompense - merely to please for the love of all that is steely and holy - PUT THE ITEM CONDITION TRUTHFULLY IN THE F@&KING LISTING. At the least let the buyer have the chance to choose.
Will post if I get a reply.

Group buys on very hard to find steels, in limited numbers not being limited to ONE per person, knowing full well the rest will end up again for silly prices on eBay. Seriously f**king annoying!

"Rant Over"

I do really hate the look of this forum. Loved the plain and simple look of Br.com - but was banned because of talking politics etc. And I must have my daily blu-ray forum browsing so this is my place now. Sorry. Do not mean to offend anyone - it's just the way I feel.

I use Chrome and it's better than Firefox for HDN browsing. Also I notice on Tapatalk it's sometimes slow to load the forums, other forums load normal.

I am using waterfox 31.0 (yes, waterfox, google it) and have win 7 x64 with 24 Gb ram (correct). I am a lan admin in multi national corp. and do know my pc's ... still this site lags like hell.... ???
