This Fall The Walking Dead comes to the toy store with McFarlane Toys action figures of Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Zombie Biter and Zombie Walker. Available for purchase November 2011.

I got my order from Gamestop and 3 figures came with bad paint apps....

Whoever is working quality control needs to be fired. It's completely ridiculous that everyone is having to repaint their figures because the paint apps are so bad. I could understand a bad paint job every now and then but the majority of this entire wave has been awful. The majority of Rick's, Carol's, some of the Abraham's, and every Governor that we've seen so far has looked bad.

This show is huge. The ratings are insane. Any chance of 3 waves a year, spawnshop? Spring/Summer/Fall?

Technically they are doing that with the comic wave filling in the summerish slot. I'd like to see the comic line increased to 5 per wave and somehow keep the TV line as 5 plus updated flashback exclusive or deluxe figure. Only real problem with Series 7 is that I'd want a Beth or any random new 5th figure. Could even have been a bearded jacket Rick to go with that Carl and Michonne. Really hoping Morgan makes the cut for Series 8 though. Almost sure he'd be a top pick. And also still holding out hope that we'll see a Dale figure.

Yes! I would love 3 TV waves, though. I almost think...having only two stagnates the sales of the line a little bit. I don't know that for certain obviously, but I think it would be a little more enticing to the casual buyer to see a little more refreshing/variety on the shelves.

Beth being added to Wave 7 would be great. She's a big point of conversation right now, and still will be when 7 hits as the next half of the season will only be just beginning and AMC/fans will be marathoning 5.1.

I imagine Morgan is on deck, certainly. And with you on hoping for Beth and Dale, as well as Lori and an updated Shane. I think I'm of the mind that anyone who made the opening credits should have a figure, at the very least. And Beth, Lori & Dale are the only ones we're missing, if that's the criteria.

I'm just speculating here but I really don't think we're ever going to get a Lori, Dale, T-Dog, or a remade Shane. As much as I would love some of those the time has seemingly come and gone for their figures to be made. If I had to guess what is coming soon I would say Morgan, Beth, Douglas Monroe, and maybe Eugene and Rosita.

You're probably right at this point. The days of Lori, Dale, Shane & T-Dog may be gone, and I need to move on.

Still want Beth, though! We're in the middle of S5, and she's been a big part of it. I sure hope we get her before she ends up being "too late" like the folks you mentioned.

I've decided that I'm going to start trying to make customs for characters that I do not think we'll ever get a figure of. I'm starting off with Martinez and Lori. I'm going to use Merle's body as the base for Martinez since they're basically the same, except there's one problem, Merle has his bayonet arm. Will I be able to simply pull out the Bayonet arm and then tab in another arm?

I used the Merle torso for my Shane custom. Glenn's arms snapped in pretty easily (after boiling). I dunno about other arms, but at least a few sets should work.
