One thing's for sure, June is shaping up to be one of complete insanity in the steelbook world, and we're only 5 days in.

Remember folks, the whole year has been building upto June :D

Click the link and nothing... Hmmmm
Strange...
Anyone else as this isn't live yet.. I know but normally there's a 'Sold out' page:angry:

Can we try and be helpful to each other folks, i know it was just a bit of banter but it can put new members off if they think people are making fun off their questions. We all know now that these Zavvi Steels arent up for Pre-order yet but not everyome knows this. Just a note for new members, always check the OP for the latest status on steelbooks. It will reflect whether the Steelbook is not yet available or if the link is now active. Thanks.

So it's "only" cool if it hasn't been released in a specific country? That's BS, it comes down to "a" collector not wanting others to own something that they view as valuable in any form no matter if its a different design or not. This happens EVERYTIME, I shouldn't be surprised by some of these reactions, I really shouldn't. But come the "F" on! It's not a re-release of the one YOU AND I OWN. you got to ask yourself why do you collect because if its for value I tell you what, you will have a much more ruder awakening than the DVD G1 Steelbook "Value Collectors" come the next format change. Please believe that. :hilarious:

Can't agree with "the next" format change my friend. If indeed "the next" format change will decrease the value of the current steels, then it should've happened to videogames now shouldn't it? Whats more valuable? a NES game of the 80's, or today's PS3, X-box 360 games? Whats more valuable the old comics of the 1930' + 40's printed on cheap newsprint, or today's comics, printed on premium paper? Next format change? I welcome it. It can't come soon enough. Better yet, let all physical formats die out. That would be such a blessing for steels.

As for this Thor re release. What is the big deal? Theres 1000's of different versions out there, all with the same artwork. Will one more do any harm? I think not.

I welcome this release (not reprint)...I'll just add it to my Thor / Avengers collection what ever...I'm not worried about the original losing (short term?) value as it's a classic IMO anyways...

Guys. I just woke up. What a storm of posts. Lol!

At first I didn't know what to make of this news. Another re release? Bah!

But I think it is great actually. This Thor re release has a different artwork. This probably means that the original Thor's artwork will never be reprinted. How awesome is that? It makes the original Thor a true collectible - finally safe from future reprints. That rocks!

Sure the Thor re release will suck away some demand for the original Thor but you have to remember that overall, Thor n Marvel steel collectors are increasing all the time. So....I do expect demand for the original Thor to keep growing over time and on the flip side, new collectors will get a cost effective Thor re release in their collections. It is the best of both worlds and should satisfy most people. :)

I look forward to this Thor re release and have no doubt that its print run will be huge - 50,000 to 100,000. Everyone who wants one will be able to get a copy. :)
