We all collect Steelbooks for different reasons!
Why is it in every Asian or Blufans thread there is always someone trying to put it down?? Because believe it or not there are actually some members here who like/love our Asian Steelbooks....Because of the slip/limited print run/goodies/etc.....This makes it unique from the rest of the dross out there.
And sellers like Kimchi,Blufans,Plain Archive, actually put a lot of thought and effort into giving us something special. And not just a bare bones 1 disc steel that you see so often elsewhere.
I am thankful for this and would not be collecting if there was not this option to buy from them.

Some people like stickers, some slips, some couldn't care less about either. That's why we collect.
If you don't like what Asian sellers offer then stay out of the Asian Steelbook threads.....Simple.
I am happy to pay the pre order price for this as are many others and that's our prerogative! No one forces you to pay the price asked for this and other Asian steels.....So MOVE ON PLEASE...And respect everyone's individual collecting habits.....

I'm sorry for those that missed out but that's life. And there are times when it's happened to me. But there are always helpful Ninjas on here who will help out if they can.


The only thing I think kimchi did wrong here was allowing people to order 3 copies of the lenticular. It should have been limited to 1 per order then maybe everyone who wanted one would have managed to get it.

Anyway rant over and THATS all I have to say on the matter. I was lucky to manage to get 1 copy of the Lenticular and can't wait to receive this baby from Kimchi.
And thank you Tony, Choi for all the effort and updates we get prior to every Kimchi exclusive.....

Show me any Thor steelbook that hasnt gone up in value, every single one ever made is worth above retail now even the zavvi one sells for more than £14.99. Im not a Kimchi fan and i dont collect them although they have released some amazing steels, i only buy what i like and i like this and would love to have it in my collection. Its not about it being Kimchi for me its about it being Thor a movie i love. Some people seem to forget that steelbooks go up in value over time, dozens of people trying to make a quick buck are going to fail because they have to compete against each other to sell so the buyer wins in th end, Try and get any of these releases in 2 or 3 years for under retail when theres only 1 or 2 listed for sale a year. Once they have been sold and put on a shelf your not going to be able to get them so easily. Your thinking short term value not long term, iron man futureshop hasnt always been worth what it is now, people hold on to steels then when someone wants a copy like a new collector thats just come into the hobby in like a years time you they to fight to get one. At the moment you dont need to fight to get a kimchi steel as people are doing there best to get rid of spares they are stuck with, it wont last forever. Supply and demand is what its down to at the end of it all. If there was only 1 or 2 copies of a kimchi lentic Thor or any other movie available to buy worldwide i promise you it would not go under retail on auction.

Couldn't have said it better myself earthscope. You'll probably find, that the majority of people who are negative about these Asian steels are the ones that either missed out or couldn't afford/justify the asking price.

We all collect for different reasons and the last thing any of us needs is the negativity that's been floating around.

Yes it sucks that some missed out (I know the feeling, been there, done that, got the bloody t-shirt), but you can't please ALL the people all the time.

And as earthscope says, there's likely someone on here that can help you out. That's one of the things I love about the forum, the sense of community. So lets leave the negativity and just enjoy our hobby.

I agree a MOD should keep an eye on the posts and make sure the posts dont get out of hand, but this is a forum and we should be allowed to chat, we dont have to agree as long as its clean and friendly.

I think this won't reduce in value as the goodies are good but we never know as the market is saturated and anything can happen.

Back to topic, I didn't pre-order as the Steelbook itself will be title-less. Would have bought in a heartbeat if the Steelbook had the title.

Having said that, I may try my luck in the bay as usual.

This thread is being watched guys. Emotions are high right now and people are annoyed because they missed out. As with all limited print runs it's inevitable that this is going to happen. What we don't want is this thread turning into a ebay and valuation thread. We have a thread already if you want to discuss sales and prices. If members keep posting about ebay and prices then these posts will be moved. We need to try and keep this on the topic of the steelbook. Thanks folks.

I could care less how much it goes for on eBay. I wanted the lenticular one. Now it is on to eBay and quickly. I love the worldwide steels. We get such crappy ones here in the U S. I want this one bad. As I do the HMV Thor one. And yes I will be getting the BB one too. Let's just hope it is as nice as the Kimchidvd one.

Damn straight snoo! I actually am disappointed I missed out on the lenti version but I don't **** up each time kimchi/blufans etc announce a title either. what matters is as long as no personal attacks are made against other members , dissenting viewpoints are just as worthy of posting as any other!!
