A french member on a french forum told us he saw the ad for the Steelbook. This is an Auchan(Walmart like) exclusive.

Or this is just an act to play up the demand ? they actually printed 10000pcs and distributes over to few countries ? All releases will be the same across the globe, like Sony releases ? The only difference is an added paper slip ?

I've not watch this movie, but my friend told me it's not interesting at all.
Thought I'll skip this one but looking at the interest being built up here, I might ended up missing some good release.

N3-the Steel seems to be the same, except paper slip. Similar to Cowboys and Aliens for Futureshop and the C&A at Target. As is often the case, some will care about the difference in the slip for this one store, and some will not...

Actually TinTin is a Belgian comic and since Belgium is a bilingual country (French and Dutch) and the comic was released as TinTin and Kuifje the steelbook with both those names is most genuin

If i'm not wrong, the french have 2 discs (DVD + BD) and the dutch one have just 1 disc, so french one wins !

Heard from a Dutch guy on this forum, there were two different copies in store. Blu-ray only and Blu-ray/DVD version.

Looks like they have a large print run of the steelbook and then repackage depending on the country so the steelbook itself may well be over the 4000 typical print run.

It must be more then 4000 copies. Germany are selling this both as a steelbook only and in boxset on Amazon. Germany probably have 4000 copies alone

Correct i would say the print run for this minimum is what was posted above 10,000 copies at least. Ie not rare whatever kind of spin you want to put on it.

In the most important Auchan in France (Vélizy 2), this morning, I saw only 25 copies on Steelbook, the rest (a lot) was amaray.
