After the news broke that Sony Screen Gems was kicking off a brand new Underworld trilogy with Underworld 4 (also said to be shot in 3-D), we started doing some digging and have stumbled on to a pretty big discovery. Two sources have told Bloody Disgusting that Kate Beckinsale is in fact attached to return as the beautiful vampire warrior Selene, who made her first appearance in Len Wiseman's film from 2003.

Underworld 4 arrives in theaters January 20, 2012.

Real IMAX 3D for me-can't wait-oh yeah!

Nice. I could go IMAX 3D for this one as its been a long time since Ive seen a IMAX movie (last was Dark Knight I think, lol).

Just not into the whole 3D thing so ill prolly pass again and just for the digital release.

Yeah, for me, as long as the 3D is well done, I'll take it. I am not a fan of post conversion...but since this is supposed to be shot in 3D, I won't miss the chance to have Kate jump in my lap...well you know what I mean...

I might just wait until it's out on Blu-ray, I wasn't overly content with the trilogy. I liked the first and the third only though.

I just saw the trailer for this, it looks great! Lots of Slow motion action and Kate looks hot! I will be waiting for it to hit Blu-ray though as i don't go to the Cinema anymore and i'm not a fan of 3-D.

Not a fan of 3D either.....don't see me going to cinema on this one but definitely a must buy when it comes out on BD.

yup. So I just watched this since I was free today and WOW. If your a fan of the movies like burnt above says you WILL LOVE THIS MOVIE. The 3D was as good as I have seen it.

This is as good as the 1st and 2nd movies from the series if not the best imho. The action was really direct and awesome and I personally thought the storyline was solid.

I wanna go watch it again!

I went to check it out last night. It was very violent and lots of action. Mythos from the previous films are forgotten in order to just focus on lots of action. The story lacked, but the film was clearly made purely for action...I still hold 1 and 3 as the best entries of the series. IMO.

There were a good amount of good 3D effects that well worth your while.

OMGD....Absolutely awesome...she still looks HOTTTT in the leather pants....half way through she get the Leather trench.... "spoiler" Hoping there is a 5th..... they left it open.... Make sure you see it in IMAX 3D.... Excellent sound and the effects... if you're a fan you will enjoy it... for you haters stick to "Twilight"
