Hi All, I've renamed this thread, to allow anyone to post "fake" or "suspect" retailer or Ebay listings, so anyone can discuss/be warned. It allows traders to protect each other/discuss various listings that may or may not be authentic, officially supported Steelbook releases. -Digitalbabe.

If any of you guys out there noticed a signed copy of Machete just sold on Ebay for over 200 dollars.
Was this an official steelbook or was this a FAKE ????

Yeah Amazingly FAKE! The ultimate scammer goatrider is looking for the Kick Ass lenticular, so that's the type of people who are after the lenticular and for that very reason. To scam unknowing collectors.

Hi Glaurung - I'm not sure about the thread you're referencing - I believe our first run-in with him on this forum was in 2010. However, if you'd like to read about what other people have said about their dealings with him, I'd suggest reading our bad trader thread.

It's always good to be cautious on e-bay, but to be honest, e-bay will refund your money 100% of the time if you're the victim of a fraudulent sale. I'd suggest contacting myself or another mod on this forum if you'd like to discuss this further.

He is offering this steelbook to people outside of ebay for £100.00 via pp, he told my friend if he pays he will tell the winning bidder that the steelbook is damaged and he will cancel the auction, dont sound right to me and i think maybe hes offered this price to a load of other people outside of ebay. Im not telling you to not bid lol ,im only saying be carefull as it all sounds dodgy.

Also, he's been selling SBs so he knows about this release but doesn't really promote it...If you look at the other items for sale, the pictures are inconsistant...background, photo angle etc...Well dodgy

Lol he specifically says last year. There's your first hint that this is fake. 2nd, he uses Steelbook and then describes it as Tin .
