Pretty nice steelbook with a lovely gloss finish The mockup still looks better and brighter than the finished article though but that's just nitpicking.

I bought 2 of these which is not something I usually do these days, anyway good job I did because they've printed the spine way off to the right on 1 of them plus there's a lovely crease in the metal on the front. At least the other copy was good apart from a tiny scratch on the front which I can live with.

Oh yeah, both arrived in the dreaded cardboard mailer

Received today. 1 copy is dented. The rest were fine but who knows what lies beneath the wrapping.

The inside artwork is awful. Low res and way too centered.

I cannot believe how shocking the packaging is, so many wasted purely down to terrible packaging. Zavvi wants us to pay huge amounts for these then don't care if we get them in pieces

I got 4 Zavvi steelbooks together today....Cabin In The Woods and a couple of Disney were in the regular white boxes....but V For Vendetta was in the cardboard mailer with not even a bubble wrap layer. Miraculously, does not seem to be damaged but I have not opened it yet, so it is possible there is some damage under the J-card.

Cannot understand why only V For Vendetta got this treatment when all four were shipped the same day....

I hate to tell you this but they are now sending EVERYTHING out in those cardboard mailers - I received the Toy Story Trilogy this morning in cardboard envelopes , 2 of the 3 have dents in them.

This is on top of V for Vendetta which arrived dented , I sent a photo throught heir online return request service (just a normal j-peg) and they replied saying they couldn't open it !!!!

This company really are the pits ! if you don't have anybody with enough intelligence to configure your server to accept photo attachments then stop asking people to send them in as proof when you post damaged goods to your customers - simple as that.

This morning's delivery - I'm scared to open it now

Received mine today in the cardboard mailer but thankfully it appears to be fine. Initially I thought it had been spine-slashed, but it is literally just in the cellophane.

Edit: On closer inspection, it has been spine-slashed. ****ers.

finally got a reply from zavvi after 72 hrs and they are only offering a 15% refund. i dont want to pay for a damaged steelbook zavvi i want a replacement or a refund

I did not order looking at the damage is gutting. Stupid idea however could putting the complaints
On Facebook etcetera make a difference so this is a one off ?.

seems like zavvi ran out of white boxes and now ships all steelbooks in those crappy cardboard mailers

i'm definitely not ordering any in stock steelbooks anymore until things are sorted out

I don't know if they are awaiting more of their boxes or are now going down this mailer route, but my last 3 zavvi deliveries have all been in the carboard mailer envelope. Fortunately all have been fine (apart from the spine slash), but it is only a matter of time until one shows up looking like someone tried to fold it in half.

edit: They say "home of steelbookz" and are not able to send out steelbooks well protected. That makes me thinking...
