Value Guide for Buyers & Traders

They are definately some gorgeous looking irons, that i never planned on opening, and haven't.

I sold my Star Trek Futureshop Steel on Amazon recently and got $165.69 for it, a $139.49 after fees and shipping costs. The person who bought that, i contacted and asked if there was anything else he's looking for. They said moulon rouge, r &j, Transformers 2, and the town. Now they may want my german transformers as well. I definately need to get rid of some steels, i have too many i really can care less about. There's only about 50 or so i really don't care to get rid of. Just trying to work out a fair price. I don't want to get less than what i paid for them obviously, but i also want to take into account that i'll only have paypal fees, since we're just doing a sale through paypal. I'll have to throw a list of the ones i want to get rid of all of the others i want to get rid of, on the forums, one of these days.

Why don't you wack a few up for sale? I'll make an offer for moulon rouge, r &j, Transformers 2 and I'm sure others as well EEK!

Have a few somebody is interested in buying, and i've been out of the steelbook price loop for a while now. Help with pricing these would be greatly appreciated. All are new and sealed. Thanks everybody

If you want to know the market, just do a completed item search on ebay.

Finding the value through an eBay search is a good way but not the best. I found a seller in the US that is selling steelbooks like crazy for $45 and up, the highest being Beauty and the Beast for $90. Yet there are sellers that struggle to sell for $35. So it's pretty much a matter of picking your price and listing it and see how it goes.

It also depends on how the seller lists the item.

A lot of collectors out there are aware that Beauty & the Beast is an ironpack and they won't pay a premium for it.

But if a seller puts steelbook in the title, then it possibly opens them up to a wider audience. That's also called "keyword spamming" and is against e-bays listing policy. ;)

If you're chasing over the high price of what an item sold for, then there's no way you can replicate those conditions. People that were bidding against each other or whatever.

With buy it now, that's also a lot of impulse buying there too.

I would pick a value that you think is reasonable given what things have sold for, and put it up for a buy it now with best offer and also judge the market that way.

I think that the fees are pretty much the same either way on auction close now, so it's not like the seller saves anything by listing it as a bidding auction vs. buy it now. :movie:

Agreed. Some sellers are more successful than others. The seller I was referring to has sold mostly with buy it now. I noticed he basically doubles the price from the price from the stores. Eg. a steelbook from amazon for $19.99 he sells it for $45 + free shipping

Anyone have any idea how much Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Resident Evil: Afterlife is going for. Someone has an ad selling them for $30.

May I know what would be the realistic price for a German copy Resident Evil Trilogy ?
Open but mint.

Thanks.
