Earlier today I jotted down the SKU #'s for "Book of Eli" and "V for Vendetta" and went to my local BB (just 2 block's away).
I had a fellow look them up on the computer,he told me that had 7 of each.I told him I did not see them (I looked everywhere earlier) and could he check the back?
He asked another clerk to take a look for me.The clerk did not know what steelbook was. This BB does have " Clash...." "LOTR; Two Towers" and "Sherlock Holmes" SB's on the rack's. I grabbed a copy of "Clash..." to give him an example.
He came back empty handed and again checked the Aisle. He grab's an Amray edition of "Book" and "V" and say's that this is what they have available.I pointed out how disappointing it was their computer has them listed as " In Stock", yet the can't be located. He explains that happens quite a bit. I mentioned that I have been buying Blu's and DVD's there for several years and had that experience there quite often.
I could tell he was perplexed as to why I did not just purchase the "Amray" version's. I explained that the "Steelbooks" are highly sought after by collector's.
Needless to say,I'll be there at opening on the 5/29/12. I want "V" and "Book" Steelie's in my collection!

I called again to see if they had got them in my store and was told that they didn't have any in stock but they had 12 for delivery, so I guess I will call again tomorrow and then check on both Monday and Tuesday (don't won't to drive cross town to be disappointed tomorrow but I work over there and am doing biolife on Monday at that end of town).

I got Book of Eli and Sucker Punch being shipped to my house I'd like to pick up Sherlock Holmes and Clash of the Titans to go with the sequels coming out this month if my Best Buy ever gets their **** together.

Just reading some of these posts has me grateful for my local Best Buy. It's a 5 minute drive, and while no one knows what a steelbook is/was, they have many Underworld's, plenty of Ghostriders, and while they couldn't find these steels when I originally asked, they searched their stock room to fill my online order the next morning, and than had the stock people put them out.

And omg guys, these things look so great sitting on the shelf. I only wanted to pick up 300 today and ended up with 300, Inception, Sucker Punch, and Clash of the Titans. And I'm wanting to go back tomorrow to get V for Vendetta and maybe Shawshank. The Shawshank steel looks really nice in person. Only thing that stopped me from picking it up today was the $24.99 price tag and me already owning the amaray.

It really doesn't matter with the price guarantee. I am just curious what promotion they would have when most of them might be sold out by that time?

FYI-added the sales note to OP, in case they really do go on sale during this time period-it would be a nice little extra break for members wanting to pick some up.

You want Evie dressed in her schoolgirl outfit - you got it.

You want Sweetpea giving you that look - you got it

Hell if you want Dr. Manhattan's big naked :ass: starting at you you can have it.

I for one am gonna have a good time with a few of these.

Here's a thought for you modifiers for the LOTR trilogy, pick up an extra copy of ghost rider 2 for the 3 disc inside swap them over then bobs your mothers brother you have room for the extended version in there too

I must say, the Ghost Rider steel looks spectacular. I'm trying my hardest not to splurge on some of these.

I was successfully able to get my price match refunds and they put them out at one of the BBs. Still can't believe how many are damaged or with loose discs. Went to another BB and they had the sign, but no steels.

Also have a stand for all the digibooks that are $14.99. The Town is not on the stand, but saw some on the rack. I was actually able to get that price adjusted as well, as I bought it less than 45 days ago.

my BB had a display set up with about 10 of each of them available plus random ones scattered where the rest of the blus are. I picked up the 10 I wanted, but will likely go to the BB near my office on Tues cause of better tax. Might pick up the hangovers and return the Book of Eli.

Also there is a murmur (completely unfounded atm) about a $9.99 sale in a week or two on another forum

I must be a fool for doing this again and I'm probably going to regret it in the end but I broke down and ordered the three LotR steelbooks again. Of course I'm probably going to get shafted again but my desire for steelbooks I can't help. I'll probably wind up getting there again and they don't have a clue what a steelbook is and look at me like I'm some kind of ******. So far all my experiences with Best Buy have turned out to be disasters. So, I'm already expecting it on this order to start off with so I won't be too upset when it all falls apart.
