Watchmen does not really compare well with other movies imo because its pretty unique, but could be described i guess as a cerebral superhero scifi/fantasy for adults.

The fact that its a "superheo movie" with a 18/Rated-R certificate says a lot.

Also if you have not seen it before and actually care for the quality of the movie contained within, i'd advise not buying this at all (if it turns out to be the edited theatrical version) unless you are ok with simultaneously wasting money on a second purchase of the amray Director's Cut, just so you can swap in a disc which should of been there from the start.

its good that we can finally get our hands on a copy with great artwork and no blu banner for a decent price, i would still like a copy of the fs version someday but still waiting for those 6 magic numbers to come out to pay for it. hope its the directors cut version too.

Imagine they were trying to tell a story like x-men but, with lesser superpowers, and in a style similar to captain america but they succeeded in making something good. Then they bombard you with some Tarantino style scenes in terms of using awesome and perfectly fitting songs. Cross that with a bit of war, fantasy and sci-fi inter-planet stuff. Add also a really bad batman impersonation. Oh heck, just go and watch it it's a one off, ignore everything i've said.

lol, this movie grows on you after multiple viewings. First time I saw it I was like ......... wtf? I like it more now, but really only wanted to own one edition (I got the night owl) but this steel looks amazing so I might have to grab this and get rid the night owl
