one of the better artworks in a while for one of the best animated movies in years...if theres embossing im gunna loose it lol:drool::drool:

sorry my friend. It is confirmed not having any debossed and embossed designs for the steelbook release. I guess it will add the extra cost to it.

The group buy for the exclusive steelbook is planned to start on April 2nd, the group buy price is $60 for the sticker edition, and the shipping cost will be extra. (the total GB numbers are in between 200 to 300, still unknown at the moment.) The steelbook will have a 3D slip goes with it. limited one per member policy applied.

The 32 pages notebook edition will be more expensive on the shipping cost. May I ask our members: Would you care for the notebook gift?

Personally, I would have no interest in either gift, Just the steelbook

embossed or not buddy this is a clear cut winner and its really awesome that blufans is choosing more mainstream movies like this!!!

If you are referring to a picture book (32 page notebook) like Prometheus that would be awesome. But if you are referring to a notebook to write in then no thanks, I rather have the extra money spent on making a higher quality steel or some sort of certificate showing the number of the steel similar to Farewell my concubines. That's just my 2 cents :D

With that quantity/restriction hopefully everyone who checks in on April 2nd can get one.

I was thinking I wanted the notebook because it would be more substantial and better to display, but on second thought the stickers may be a more convenient storage companion, so I don't know. Hopefully we get to see what they look like before we have to commit.

Exactly. We'd rather have embossing. Have you seen the collectors unwilling to pay a little more for embossing? No. [case in point: Resident Evil Trilogy KR embossed] The extras are OK if they are picture books or slips. Not excited to get a notebook to write in or stickers if that money could have gone into a better steelbook.

the good thing is whatever blufans releases its always been the highest quality steel so i think if the artwork is any indication were in very good shape...the gifts are just a nice little added bonus which is a cool thing.

The highest quality steel? Afraid not mate, it's been concluded somewhere they use "left overs" for Blufans releases. I know I sound vague, but I can't find the post where I got the information. Anyways, it might suffer from paint chips the way Let the Bullets Fly and Farewell My Concubine do.

there were issues in past however each one has gotten higher in quality, i mean look at real steel and rio and the elite squad slip as well as the art on farewell which was stunning. quality is not 100% related to production issues such as paint chips IMO..the art that they release is in my opinion always stunning and of the highest quality and there steels are what i consider the pinnacle of steelbooks and maybe thats just me...yes they used to have paint chips on fmc but that happens and hopefully its in the past with new productions thats a dead issue...either way wreck it ralph is going to be great so that the focus now :D
