That's just how it works with these Blufans releases. Now that you know, just don't join the GB the next time one is offered. Just wait until its released and then pay almost triple for it on evilbay....

Patience is a virtue, Thanks for the GB!

you can get a copy for ~ 80gbp, which is a quite terrible deal for the seller considering he had to pay ~60gbp himself and 45 of it 6 months in advance

That 45 quid would probably have made him about 45 pence in those 6 months at current interest rates, if that's what you're suggesting.

no, i don't

would you pay 45 quid just to earn like 5 quid in half a year?

theres ebay fees, theres 45 quid less in your pocket and you have to list it, wait, package it,etc which is also wasted time

its a bad deal for resellers

got a copy myself, but i regret getting one.. just got caught up in the hype here ^

Was it £45 we paid for this, it's so long ago I can't even remember! Almost like I'm getting it for free because the payment was made so long ago the impact of the amount spent has long gone

i got my place in this group buy really by the very last chance possible, and i'm more than happy about that. so it's not so long ago that i paid for it, i think it was the 23rd of july. :) guess i saved some time here and spent it on hunting and collecting instead of waiting. ;)

I think there's some confusion on the price, the steel was $60 not 60GBP as previously stated on the thread, so whoever is listing this for 80GBP on ebay will be nearly doubling what they paid for it.

not even remotely.. you have to add shipping from hub to your destination+most likely significant import taxes.. id say in the end you pay 83$, which is at current exchange rates 54GBP.. selling for 80GBP means you have to pay ~10GBP fees for ebay+paypal, leaving you 70GBP if everything went perfectly well.. thats 30% IF everything worked fine.. thats not bad, but definitely not great.. if you bought 4 roger rabbit for the approx. same price (56GBP) you would make 144GBP

Personally I've bought this steelbook because I love the film, also I want to have a nice collection of steelbooks. Don't care if it goes up in value or not, so why people on this thread only care about how much money going to make on evilbay are not worthy having this beautiful steelbook.

"Personally" i care how much my steelbooks go up in value becouse on the end of the day i rather have high value items than cheap ones mate.

Some buy steelbooks to open them and enjoy them, while others buys to see them rise in value keeping them sealed. Either way it's the same hobby. We're all collectors, but practise it differently. It will always be like that and we should respect each others ways of collecting :)

Getting back on topic, I can't wait to get this in hand. I feel like I've been waiting for this forever!

$60 at current exchange rates is about £39 - shipping from hub including any import fees was £7.70, which is £46.70 total. If you're selling for £80, even taking off ebay fees you're still looking at £20-25 profit.

oh, so it was 60$ initially ? why do we have to pay 63$ now ? :-/

i dont know how customs in the uk work, but here in germany we will have to pay 19% vat of the steelbook on top + 3,5% custom fee.. which is ~14$ dollars... +shipping..

unless its TOTALLY different, which i doubt somehow, youll likely have to pay another invoice :-/

---------- Post added at 03:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:44 PM ----------

but perhaps blufans declared the 200 steelbooks as gift with 20$ value
