I see your point. But to me anyone who pays over £10 for this is a fool. The french steelbook may have french text in the place of 'First class' but its a beauty and even my ocd let me off with keeping it in my collection.
Got to disagree, i hate foreign text on my steels and thats why i only own uk steels. Luckily i managed to buy this off someone on here for around £15-20 so i didnt have to pay a lot but i would of if had to.

I really dont get why this goes for so much, it has no inside artwork, the front is zoomed in too much and has printed rating logos and the back is plastered with writing.

Makes no sense.

Because it's an original. I've seen this happen before with various collectors items. Like misprints for example. I'd pay £20 for it, but that's where I draw the line.

Each to their own but I've never liked this version and never bought it purely for the weird zoomed in front and printed back. I can live with no inside art but does annoy me.
I've had quite a lot of chances to buy it at a decentish price but always said no. Glad with the magneto cover coming soon and really don't bother me that I won't have the rest of the wave to match even if they do make the rest like the new wave. I knew holding off would pay off for me. Just my opinion

All I can see from the past few comments are envious collectors desperate for a similar price increase in the French edition.

?

I could of picked this up for £4-£5 (can't rememeber the exact price but it was massively cheap) on two separate occasions in CEX perfect condition but passed because of my exact reasons mentioned earlier. I always knew this would get re released and unlike some People on here I'm patient and would wait years if I had to. It's a crap release and I wouldn't want the French either because of the foreign text.

WOW some sucker paid £30 for this turd!!
Well, guess then i'm a sucker too, since i would probably paid that much for it if i had to as well? :dunno:
Since i've set myself the target to get every different marvel steelbook-artwork, i will have to pay the price people ask for this. :wacky:
Maybe the price drops a bit once the re-releases come out..

Lol, Have you been under a rock? This steel used to go for $100+/£80+
I know it's quite a poorly put together steel, but it's not necessarily how it's designed or how well it looks, it's how much people are willing to pay as well as demand/supply. The superior French version was in surplus quantity which is why it was cheap sometime ago (I got mine for under $19).

So, the competition is a metalpak or foreign writing.

If you're French or Canadian I can see the appeal, but where I'm from those options are laughable. But hey, if that's what floats your boat then sail on brother, sail on.

Tbh i think paying over the odds for the play steel is laughable, the french steel is gorgeous and imo the best steel for this movie to date. The french writing does not bother me at all and im neither french nor canadian.
