I don't reckon kimchi have lost any credibility mate.

Didn't kimchi work hard with Nova and PA on many awesome exclusives and repeatedly prove that they could sell good numbers?

So Nova and PA have decided to go it alone and cut out kimchi in the process, after kimchi helped to build the credibility of Nova and PA in the first place. That is business unfortunately, but only backs up that kimchi had credibility all along and were prepared to back themselves to commit to selling through the print runs. When you are a growing business that takes guts and I admire kimchi for everything they have done to date.

The quality from all these retailers is top notch so whether Nova release themselves or via kimchi it will still be worth owning either way. Hopefully kimchi make some new friends to collaborate with off the back of all this and can help bring another name into the game.

I'll be waiting on the Mondo version, which if it gets the treatment and finish listed will utterly destroy this.

Looks like the lamp is the most important thing on the cover (or even in the movie). I don't like it at all.

I definitely see what people mean about the lamp, but I don't think the way the steelbook is angled in the mock-up helps to be fair... it pushes Gosling to the edge/background, whereas when you're looking at it head on, he stands out more imo. I personally love the lighting/mood in this shot...

A little underwhelming really but then again after Kimchi dropped their release it feels like this one was going to struggle to keep the hype going. The back is really what lets it down in my mind as it just looks really standard, but also feel (as many have stated) that the front feels too centered and gives too much space up to the lamp. Also wish it didn't have the tagline - I don't think it needs to look any busier. And yet with all that said I'm sure I'll be getting one to go along with the rest of my Drive goodies.

I personally love the art, i think its reflects the style of the movie... Sure they could have pasted Gosling's face all over the cover, but then how would that be any different to any other cover art...?

I say well done for the unique artwork... But everyone has their own opinions, its a personal choice i guess

I like the artwork on this steelbook, even more than UK version, and we must remember that there will be also full slip with even different and for sure great artwork

Same hear initially thought this looked awesome but the more I look at it the less I like it which is the opposite I get when comparing it to the HMV version.

This essentially uses the same back art of the HMV steel zoomed out to show the lampshade which as mentioned seems to be the focal point now and not Gosling. Also the tittle just looks odd stuck above the lampshade and is way too small.

I've been really impressed by Plain Archives previous work but for me this is a big disappointment, will still end up getting this and maybe it will look better in hand (I hope so) but the HMV version is a hard act to follow.

Was bored so had a go at little mock-up myself (it's defiantly not up to Zesty's high standards but thought I'd give you guy's a laugh) .
