Damn. Really pissed off about the region lock. I'm not buying a region free player for one movie and was really looking forward to watching this again, so it looks like ebay for this fella no matter how good it looks.

I get being upset about the region lock... but it is just the disc. Surely you could source just a copy of the disc somehow for cheaper than this whole package is and just replace it? Rather than giving up the entire package... seems like a waste.

I agree. I understand not wanting to purchase a movie twice just so you can watch it, but you can get just the disc on ebay for not much at all. Or even in a couple of months Walmart, Target, or Best Buy will have it for under $10.

Agree as well. I have had to do this many times being in the US, and getting several from Zavvi over the years.
And, at least in my opinion, you don't need a "new" disc. Finding a used disc for under $10 should be rather simple in a month or so.

I agree with you but other people will not and especially its not 1 disc it's also the Noir version they will have to get aswell, don't forget alot of people are buying these for the black and white version to watch so it will cost a little more which is really not the point these should be Region Free.

Box won't be in a resealable poly bag FYI due to its size and the small lenti card will be inside the box. I think the numbered sticker is on the 1/4 slip too and the manta sticker is possibly on the steelbook shrink wrap (that last part wasn't clear to me so that could be on the box)

I know what you mean, but then the disc is a part of the package too. Local artwork is unlikely to be the same as on Manta's, and having a cobbled together version........I'm not sure my OCD will permit this.

If the lentis were swapped front to back, then it'd be much better, but the front one is really dull and muted, plus it doesn't really do much.

Anyone complaining about region a locking just aren't used to the vast amount of region b locked steelbook exclusives that exist. It's all part of the game. ****** overlook by Manta though.

Well that's the point movies used to be all region locked due to the studios and such because certain countries have different laws regarding movies. And so some movies are changed for which country it's being released in. That's why their region locked. And if region is an issue you could not buy this and just by the edition that came out in your own country. I'm pretty sure manta would have made it region free if they could have.

Filmarena deal with their own currency? It's like the discs some of these companies use, region A locked, doesn't that effect their home Country customer base the most if they get lumbered with a Region A disc on a Korean/Chinese release?

Got my double lenti a couple days ago. The front is a little dark and moody to be used as a lenticular but the back lenti is sharp and full of depth. The steelbook came out mostly mint save a paint chip and a couple microdents on the back. But otherwise it's glossy and gorgeous. All in all pretty happy with this one, if you like lenticulars the double lenti isn't a bad way to go.

Though I have a feeling people who chanced it and went for the special box are going to be super happy with theirs and that'll end up being the best one of the bunch.

Well even if fox informed manta their wouldn't be anything they could do about it. Besides maybe canceling the edition altogether. I know china has very strict rules about films and such their. So when I get anything from thier I always just think of it as region locked and if it's not it's a bonus.

Now for the currency I'd say it's because the world currency is the US dollar. It's mostly accepted every where. I know hdzeta site shows thier own currency and film arena also uses theirs as well. So another thing is maybe your just seeing automatic conversions.
