You lucky bastard lol. I was supposed to have it in my hands last week, but justin at Mondo is more important lol.

pfft, says the man who had some gems at his desk! ;)

I bet that between the two of you, that you've seen some awesome samples and finished products which the rest of us can only dream of seeing!! :wow: :jawdrop: :naughty:

As much this looks awesome, I'm not sure I can justify the ~£40 it'll cost (for steelbook + shipping + VAT + £8 royal mail ripoff fee handling fee) for a film I've never seen.
Especially when taking into consideration that's more expensive than the average KimchiDVD full slip/lenti which comes with art cards, numbering card etc.

I guess it will depend very much on what value is placed on the Customs Declaration. I understand that the price before Canadian taxes are applied is (CAD) $24.99. The addition of those taxes raises the local retail price to (CAD) $29 on both Group Buys, although strictly speaking the value remains at (CAD) $24.99.

The official HMRC exchange rate for October is (GBP) £1 = (CAD) $1.7878 and for November is (GBP) £1 = (CAD) $1.7993. Assuming the December exchange rate remains relatively stable then UK Import VAT will only be levied on the shipment if the declared value of the item is (CAD) $29 (ie including Canadian taxes). If the declared value of the item is (CAD) $24.99 (ie excluding Canadian taxes) then the shipment will be exempt from UK Import VAT.

I've not done a Group Buy from Canada before so don't know which of the two values will be utilised for the Customs Declaration. @Drum18 I appreciate you've probably got more important things to worry about but perhaps you could advise. Thanks.

People who buys from me thru GB never (or really rarely) get to pay import taxes...
I'm pretty sure I can say the same with @biscuitnoir
