White/pale steelbooks tend to look awful when they're not glossed, so yeah gloss is absolutely essential with this one.

Good artwork, happy to see a UK release, did not like the other steelbook, was too plain for my liking, the front matches the claustrophobic type scenes with HAL, he looks like he is ready to do a space dance too.

The back picture is one of the movie posters, happy with the inside artwork, it represents the start of mans intelligence to use tools and develop, a very deep and visual movie.
