This thread has been created to provide insight for folks trading and buying. Sometimes knowing that a guy/gal has some or MANY successful trades/sales is good peace of mind.

IF THE PERSON DOESN'T HAVE LOTS OF GOOD TRADER RATING FEEDBACK, AND YOU DONT KNOW THEM, THEN PRIVATE MESSAGE a Trading Moderator. We can try to get you the info you need to feel safe and or make a safe trade/purchase!

As we all know, trading is at your own risk. However, we are able to stop many deals from turning sour if you enable us. We have one bad person who has been a scam artist at many HT/Blu-ray sites besides ours.

icon_unitedstates.png
OSCARLUCY - owed shipments to members here, delayed due to a number of different stories. Supposedly recently shipped items out to members, after 5+ months of delays.

icon_unitedstates.png
NELLYPLATINUM & YASAIRA1 - owed an item to a member here - trade occurred on another forum, had previously told trading mods he would make good on the amount owed. Never paid the seller.

icon_unitedstates.png
93COBRA - also known as Fast Eddie - defrauded members on BD forums and you tube of hundreds of dollars of items. General trading alert posted here.

icon_france.png
Marty mcFly - member from France. Owes members here items and has been delaying shipment since in contact with staff for weeks, some traders have been waiting months.

icon_unitedkingdom.png
AMEN - sent a member here damaged steels and the wrong steelbook. Would not resolve the problem with the other member or respond to mod / staff requests for more info.

icon_australia.png
Top_cat2-failed to complete numerous trades/communicate. Numerous traders waiting for items for several months (some since 2012).

icon_unitedstates.png
slackerz - failed to respond or to resolve a trading issue over months of promises to replace damaged items.

icon_unitedkingdom.png
TIGER - took funds for a "pre-order" of items not in-hand to one member and wouldn't refund, also failed to fulfill 6 steelbook trade with another member.

icon_unitedkingdom.png

icon_germany.png
Unisol1980 - Attempted to sell a High Value rare steelbook by randomly PM'ing members. This was after Trade Mods refused to approve his sales thread without him supplying the necessary references/info.

**************************

The posts below are from when this was a Good Traders/Bad Traders list ... from the date this OP has been updated ... this thread will only serve as a Buyer Beware and Hall of Shame for those bad traders out there. If you need info on good traders view their trader rating under their avatar in the post bit (to the left) or PM a Mod.

I suggest you PM a mod for any deal over $75 if you dont know the person, regardless if they have 3 successful feedbacks etc. This is YOUR community as much as it is OURS, and we'll make the time everytime to make it as safe as possible for all.

Added 1/23/2012:

Just a general reminder - If you are experiencing difficulty with a trade at our site, feel free to contact a Trade Moderator, and we can provide suggestions on how to resolve the matter, if the trade took place at our site.

If, despite repeated attempts to resolve the trade/contact the trader, you do not receive any communication, or items, etc, please use the Feedback system in place at the site, or the rest of the community will not be aware of issues with traders. In addition, you have a limited time frame to file Paypal disputes, so please familiarize yourself with that process, just in case, to further protect yourself. In addition, the Staff will take action against accounts for repeat offenders if absolutely necessary.

Ok, I was puzzled for a while when I remembered I read someone said I was selling something on ebay.
So, I have some time to spare and did a search. I guess some of you may have mistaken that that was me, but I'm in no way related to the seller.
This is one of the item and I really have no idea where his stocks are coming in, perhaps he got it directly from supplier.
One more time, I'm in no way related to this guy and I do not sell my steel on ebay.

Would like to add Geek Tragedy to bad traders list.
I, like many others handed over money in exchange for a set of Big Hero 6 Cards.
The amount may not have been much ($3) however, there were many who handed over monies in good faith. HE IS A SCAMMER.
I, like many others never received the cards or even a response. He is still around as he is continuing to take part in Group Buys. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS INDIVIDUAL, EITHER AS A SALE OR TRADE.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY HE IS NOT BANNED.

Yeah it´s a shame about Geek Tragedy I also handed him money for the Cards and sent him some pms but nada. What else can you say about this behave from a 40 years old man I don´t know

hey folks, just a general trading alert. Former group buy host @merowinger has two outstanding trade issues that I am aware of - with folks that paid for items but never received them.

He's been banned from the forums - if he's conducting business elsewhere, feel free to share this post or information with trading authorities on other forums.

General reminder - if you pay with a personal payment / "gift", you the buyer are not protected if the transaction goes wrong - and this is why the trading moderators at hidefninja have always suggested paying as goods and covering the fees.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

Anyone sold to matthemallar-71on eBay??

He claims to have received GOTH 1/4 slip without the steelbook.

The item was sent via recorded delivery .

I'm not sure what to do as he's opened a retuen request added photos and claims the steelbook wasn't inside.

Any help?

Beware of these eBay sellers:

1. goodmovies - Looks like he / she is bankrupt and has not sent any items.

2. laur_anast - Threatening behaviour because there was small split on the shrink wrap on the case opening side. Demanded $20 refund for an item sold for $80 for just a small factory gap in the shrink wrap. If I didn't refund then said she will raise INAD claim and get full refund as eBay would side with her.

No deals with that ID.

Did the buying take photos of the packaging? UK based buyer?

If the buyer claims it’s the steelbook missing and not replaced with anything else so just an empty box then there will obviously be a large discrepancy with the weight. Your proof of postage will show the weight so add that to the case. That would be a good start to defend your claim from a blatant scammer.

Thanks letting us know, another to add to the block list.

That's if the buyer kept the box and sends back

Why would buyer need to send the box back to determine the weight? Basic common sense where the weight doesn’t add up.

If the steelbook was sent in a standard box the packaging would weigh between 150-200g.

If the proof of postage shows 350-400g and the buyer never stated I received boxes of chocolate instead then there is a weight discrepancy.

It’s a classic scam to do except the buyer has done it wrong and Shayid can have a case to defend the claim
