This thread has been created to provide insight for folks trading and buying. Sometimes knowing that a guy/gal has some or MANY successful trades/sales is good peace of mind.

IF THE PERSON DOESN'T HAVE LOTS OF GOOD TRADER RATING FEEDBACK, AND YOU DONT KNOW THEM, THEN PRIVATE MESSAGE a Trading Moderator. We can try to get you the info you need to feel safe and or make a safe trade/purchase!

As we all know, trading is at your own risk. However, we are able to stop many deals from turning sour if you enable us. We have one bad person who has been a scam artist at many HT/Blu-ray sites besides ours.

**************************

The posts below are from when this was a Good Traders/Bad Traders list ... from the date this OP has been updated ... this thread will only serve as a Buyer Beware and Hall of Shame for those bad traders out there. If you need info on good traders view their trader rating under their avatar in the post bit (to the left) or PM a Mod.

I suggest you PM a mod for any deal over $75 if you dont know the person, regardless if they have 3 successful feedbacks etc. This is YOUR community as much as it is OURS, and we'll make the time everytime to make it as safe as possible for all.

Added 1/23/2012:

Just a general reminder - If you are experiencing difficulty with a trade at our site, feel free to contact a Trade Moderator, and we can provide suggestions on how to resolve the matter, if the trade took place at our site.

If, despite repeated attempts to resolve the trade/contact the trader, you do not receive any communication, or items, etc, please use the Feedback system in place at the site, or the rest of the community will not be aware of issues with traders. In addition, you have a limited time frame to file Paypal disputes, so please familiarize yourself with that process, just in case, to further protect yourself. In addition, the Staff will take action against accounts for repeat offenders if absolutely necessary.

Be careful with this guy jaseacejaseace @ ebay.co.uk

I bought Psycho UK Steelbook from him described as Like New and received this.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-...AAAAAAAAEAA/Yp9SS3jJbTE/s912/Psycho%20bot.jpg

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-...AAAEAQ/lETRYLATyBA/s912/Psycho%20pack%201.jpg

He accepted return and agreed to issue full refund including cost of return shipping but never got back to me. Opened a case in eBay and got an instant reply that he will issue refund but not cost of return postage.

The same Steelbook was re-listed as Like New again.

Leave negative feedback. It's the only way.

A seller can't give you negative feedback, so you shouldn't had been worried!

yeh , right !! Mr Sunnyx :D

it asks you ? positive , neutral or Negative ??

I will check next time I fill some one of my buyers in .. I didnt know wthat , as this guy needs to be punished as he deliberatkly is playing the Numbers game , and some guys caunt be bothered with the rigmarole of repacking then sending back !! , you know what IO mean ??

TC :ohno:

I remember laz305 posting a bad trade with Nellyplatnium over at BR, but it seems someone deleted those posts including my response to laz305

Yep, because I took it upon myself to try and broker a deal between those two members here. I hope we have a resolution where this issue should be resolved next week.

Instead of banning that member as the first step, its better to discuss behind the scenes and see what can be done.

I prefer to see actual bad traders on this list, not disputes that could have been resolved with some actual time invested and ahem...mediation.

One of the reasons why I hope people trust in trading on this forum rather than that other spot.

Seller can definatly not leave the buyer negative feedback in the UK, i would assume its the same over there Cat?

No, on eBay UK sellers can't leave negative (red) feedback, but they can certainly leave negative comments - AND IN CAPITALS!! - albeit with a green 'positive' sign next to them. Of course with a few more feedbacks all people will see are the pluses or minuses, but the comments can hurt in the short term.

Yes, and all you can do is report them, but even than eBay won't do nothing -_-. eBay's customer service is quite poor (in most cases).

Yep. I had a guy who claimed I sent a defective Avengers. He sent photos to an account that I never even had linked with ebay. I don't know how he got that email account. I only look at it once a month or less. I gave him a refund before he even decided to send it back, because I wanted to go above and beyond on my own. Well he never sent the item back and gave negative feedback saying poor custeromer service. LOL. How could it be poor if I gave him a full refund and he is basically stealing from me. Then a month later he sends another feedback on an item he one before and said the same damn thing out of revenge. Ebay did absolutely nothing for me. They give sellers the middle finger. If I was on the board of directors I would change a lot of stuff as you don't bite the hand the feeds you. The sellers are the ones paying ebay and giving them their profits. Ebay is a joke for sellers. They s*** all over you.

You can actually report sellers now

Noticed the option this morning

Reporting a buyer can be effective when multiple people join in. That's definitely an option for sellers that have an issue when leaving feedback, etc.

As a buyer, well, what isn't available for them to mess with sellers. lol.

sorry, i meant buyers

the seller can report a problem with the buyer if needed

sorry for the confusion, that's what 3 weeks without a break does to you

Added nellyplatinum to the list. Trade occurred on another forum. Sad to report that after Nelson agreed to pay the balance owed to his trading partner, he never made good on that promise.

He's been banned from this site - I have also noticed he recently did not pay for a group buy item he requested as well, so this made it a bit easier.

As a follow up - I have determined that nellyplatinum also has an alias ID of yasaira1.

This account has also been banned and group buy leaders have been warned.

If you agree with a trade you should 'honour' the trade unless both parties agree to cancel. It's like a gents and ladies handshake that you have agreed a contract, in this case a trade or sale etc.

If you dont follow up with the trade and cancel it, it is like pulling out of a contract you agreed to and liable for others to give you a bad name and lose your reputation.

I've had it before when I agreed to a trade but found a better deal later when the steels werent sent. But I 'honoured' the trade as I agreed to it.

So rule of thumb is: if you agreed to transaction, stick with it, don't pull out or make silly excuses unless both agree to cancel.
