I like the artwork. It would be very nice on a SteelBook. However, does this title really warrant the SteelBook treatment? The answer to that is no. It wouldn't matter whether the artwork was this nice, better, or worse, I would not buy this title. We already have a ton of SteelBooks for films that aren't deserving, and I'm afraid that this would just be another one of those titles, and it feels more like a cash-in on the SteelBook collecting phenomenon rather than something that is actually in high demand. I can think of several hundred more deserving titles that haven't yet been released as a SteelBook... eOne are probably better off just making this a cardboard sleeve and be done with it

Why people come in here and ask for other steelbook releases!? It's like you went to KFC and ask for a Whopper. It doesn't make sense.
The guy from the company get licenses, they create artwork and ask the collectors if we like it or not. Simple as that.
You all got the Kimchi one yes, we understand, but you all got the iron man from FS, from Kimchi, from Blufans, the local release, the slips, the statues, the figurines, the lunch boxes, the decals everything.
Maybe someone on this world is a dallas buyers club fan as big as you are iron man fan. Wtf. Be grateful that someone from a company take the time to ask if we like it or not. I don't want to be the steelbook police but sometimes I sit here *insert facepalm gif* When we get the chance to change something we should take it and don't put him off. Maybe next time he will not ask anymore

don't disagree with a lot of what you say. But my take on the situation is that I don't want the company to get discouraged releasing steelbooks if they release a couple of duds that only sell a few copies. Remember they want to make money. If it doesn't make money they will stop doing. We were suggesting some more popular titles to ensure a successful launch and not choose a movie that appeals to only a minority of collectors. Just doesn't make good business sense. Just saying.

I totally get that. But like you said, they want to make money. They got their people who read here and everywhere else. They know there is a 50 page long American Psycho thread. And if they would get the license we would be talking about a different movie here. But the people who buy the licenses can only offer what they get. They got a not so old movie title with one of the most popular actors at the moment and they try to do their thing with it.
So I can't see why we consumers must say a company what they should release. It's their business. They know. That's why every company release another Iron Man when they got the license. Make money.
I'm always happy if a retailer cares about our opinion. In every zavvi thread we hate about their behavior that they don't care. So we should not put the last mohicans off who care a little. That's what I wanted to say. Now its BOBO time...

The way I see it is they want feedback negative as well as positive
so everybody's opinion is wanted here.

I never said anything that fits to your answer :bored:. Maybe my english is too bad and you don't get what I wanted to say I don't know. Please give negative feedback but don't answer with "I want this and that movie". Thats no feedback in this case and not helpful for anyone. I'm too lazy to explain myself another time sorry :sour:

In terms of business sense, this won't sell that well I am afraid unless the print run is under 1000.

Better to pick a famous and unreleased title that has the potential to sell out.
They'd be lucky if this sells 500 copies max. It's an award winning film and it has a handful of big fans who'd double dip, but outside of that those that bought the amaray are not likely to buy this. Don't know what research they have done to even remotely think this could shift a normal print run. Even excellent art will still see this on sale for a long time to come at knocked down prices.

Spot on, this steelbook I believe will be around for yonks I think. It's a fantastic film, don't get me wrong, a really well done film, but that art cover wouldn't win me over and whatever art that is finalised still won't get me to buy it. Not a first cost anyway. A steel version of this is worth about £10.00 max to me.
Glad to see them having a go though!

You said we should not put the last mohicans off who care a little. Yes it's good they care but we should give them an honest opinion good or bad.

I too own Kimchi's full slip, and you are not getting me out of a full slip for a j-card. Kimchi has a 36-page booklet and numerous cards to boot. I never bought any comic-themed or monjo (whatever) steels and this resembles those. No sale. Please consider highly-rated movies with no steel treatment.

Sorry MODs, I'm really trying.
One last time before I get banned. I never meant anything what you seemingly get from my posts. My intention was, please give feedback to THIS steelbook (positive and negative) instead of only recommending other movies who deserves a steelbook release. It doesn't help anybody. We will not get those releases, eonedirect will probably not get the licenses in near future and they still don't know what you like or don't like about their current mock up. And when they get no opinions and only steelbook release recommendations they will probably not ask again next time. That was my whole point.

I think the point some of us are making is that this movie will not sell whatever the artwork. We are suggesting examples of movies eone have the rights to that will sell. The issue is not really the choice of artwork but the choice of movie.

I understand that, before and even without bold text parts buddy  and I still think it's not helpful. We all put our points down, I said enough maybe too much, I'll stop it here
