I'm just having a blast! Steelbook collecting is at an all time high! The quality of releases keep getting better and better. Retailers are raising the bar constantly.Trying to out do each other. It's become a global phenomenon.

Thanks to those who explained how things work here  I am a new member as well and looking forward to get steelbook of flicks that I like and love.

Now, as for this release: it is my sense that it will be almost impossible to obtain it, given that there will be only 300 copies. Anyway, does anyone know if it will have english subtitles as a feature? It might seem a naive question but I am italian and they will help me a lot!

Second question: is it normal that the page for ex_machina on the HDzeta website tells me "Sorry, the product was not found"?

Not familiar with HDzeta, but almost all of these companies will list either that or "out of stock" before it's officially released.

Say a pre order becomes available at 10:00am. For the days/weeks prior to the release, the page will read "out of stock". It's not out of stock yet, just hasn't been made available yet. It's a placeholder.

This is HDZETA's first sale and the first test of their new store. They are working on the site. It may go offline and come back and do all sorts of weird stuff as they work on the mechanics of the site before the day everything goes live. None of us have any idea how well it will work.

Okay, many thanks to the both of you. Here's another "very intelligent" question (please, be patient :D): will the Blu-ray main menu be in chinese?

If the US and UK would get involved more with the collector sets, things would definitely be more interesting.

with me at work & just my iphone plus 300 print run..my chances with this are slowly dissipating..good luck to all that wants this, i can see it will be MADNESS being the 1st preorder of a highly sought item

I think he meant the ACTUAL BLU RAY menu. I can't honestly answer that, as I have yet to open any of my HDzeta Steelbooks! Has anyone here?

Generally, and there are exceptions of course, Blu-ray discs released by the major studios are all the same depending on the region: e.g. UK, Australian, and EU releases use the one disc, and the same goes for Hong Kong, China, and South Korea. Sometimes the disc will choose a menu language (if there are alternative language menus) automatically depending on your player settings/region, or normally there's a screen when you first play the disc that lets you choose. Ex Machina is from Universal and they're usually pretty generous with their language options. The movie has also been released in both Hong Kong and South Korea already, and the discs are exactly the same, so the HDZeta disc is most likely going to be the same disc as well.

Kind of unrelated, but sometimes, when the disc chooses how to play based on your player region, you might get different language options or even different cuts of the movie. Japanese releases are notorious for doing this. While the disc might be the same on you get everywhere else, pop it into a Japanese player and you will get Japanese audio and subtitle options otherwise not available. As for different cuts depending on region, the best example is the original region B release of Conan the Barbarian. When the disc was played on UK players, it would cut the horse and sex scenes as required by the BBFC, but it was uncut when the region was set to something else. A more recent example is Kingsman: The Secret Service, which depending on your region, might remove the infamous Colin Firth church fight.

Does anyone know if they offer paypal payment?

Anyone register on their site and get their payment test to work? Was able to register just fine. But trying to go through their payment test for 1/2 an hour was RIDICULOUS! and never worked :banghead::banghead::banghead:
No Paypal option :bag:

Hey guys, just fyi-since I've read quite few panicked replies-HDzeta may still need to continue testing before they can take orders (so there may be possible group buy). I don't have more info at the moment, but @wxlinkswd has said that he will post an update asap. @Wreck @apsmith21
A group buy makes the most sense at the moment. That will cause the most peaceful outcome for this title with such a small print run. With the best case scenario for the pre-order to take place on the website, all hell is still gonna break loose regardless.I think it's better to be smart than anxious to get this title underway. If it was a regular release with a few thousand copies for the print run, then the scenario would be completely the opposite.

Thanks @digitalbabe !!! I'm wondering about FF7 PW exclusive as it goes live the same day few hours later..

I think a GB will be a great idea instead of getting that bad 1st impression coz of site malfunction on their first live preorder.
