I think John should just close it and start again. Way too much of a headache to figure that out. Close it, give everyone about a weeks notice for the new GB and start again.
I think you under estimate John. He's been doing these GB's for a long time. Give him time. He'll sort it out. [emoji106]

Seems pointless to me - GB already in place, people have expressed their interest as requested. Almost as silly as suggesting Nova increase their print run because Drive had problems

It would be nice to know if my copies are secured via the GB, I don't want to not even bother on the 4th on the assumption the GB is going ahead and find out later I've missed out

Same applies for TDKR

Not really "silly" is it? With this new info from Nova it leaves the GB thread in somewhat of a clusterfuck. Now there's members going in and amending their posts, not to mention the members who haven't seen this new info and might miss out because they thought they were sorted. Any sort of record of the GB that John might have going is essentially trash now.

I dunno, in my opinion when something gets this convoluted its best just to wipe it out and start over. If only to save poor John's sanity.

Would you be saying the same if you were position number 1 in the list? :)

Only John can make the decision - whatever we post is just rambling (even though yes I think the idea to cancel the current GB is silly).

Hopefully John will have some idea from Nova on how many copies of each are available to him (same with TDKR) so he can advise people ahead of the pre-order go live.

I couldn't say it better!!!

Just to clarify, the amendment I made was changing my post from

"1 full slip & 1 lenti to the UK please "

to
"1 full slip & 1 Type A lenticular to the UK please "

I didn't ask for more copies, just confirmed the lenti I wanted as I wasn't expecting there to be 2 options! :)

I'm not on the list. I didn't join the GB because at the time the goodies weren't revealed. I'm still not going to. I'm going to brave the servers and if I get it, then cool. If I don't then no biggy, I've still got the UK one.

I'm offering an opinion of a non-bias outsider, and what I would personally do if I were in John's shoes.

Thursday 4th of Dec
That's my Pay Day

I will be getting the Full Slip
I need a damage free steelbook anyway to replace my Zavvi damaged one they so far only offered 15% refund but I told them I want a replacement so I will wait and see their reply

The release details of this have changed and also print run is different I cant see how the Group Buy as it stands can work how does John know what Lenticular version people want now as there are 2 different versions as he cant presume what Lenticular people want
How is he securing copies considering novamedia have stated they want customers to source their copies directly from the Nova Media store and this has an Order limit

I hope I'm on a Night Shift on 4th of Dec or its my Day off as I need to be able to have access to the internet without any distractions

Understand if the GB doesn't restart or anything , just pointing out it then leaves those of us in the US in a tough spot.

I know I joined Andy's original GB for the US when we thought it was going ahead and not John's (as it wasn't even open for US ninjas), but hate to miss out on these releases because of this. Know John is doing us all a huge favor hosting the GB and unfortunately now with the US one being cancelled all the US members are more likely being stuck having to try to get through the servers as we are late to the game on his GB list.

Honestly not sure there is really an easy and fair to everyone fix, but figured I would chime in here. For example many of us posted requests in the US thread on Nov 4th initially (same day as the early posts in John's GB), but would now be substantially down the list if there are not enough to go around for everyone who has requested and may miss out as a result.

No fault on anyone's part here as things just haven't worked out as we hoped for with Nova to get access for everyone and I for one still appreciate the opportunity Andy/John/etc... gave us either way. I mean worst case we are back to your average collector and having to brave the servers and hope to get lucky (or finding a helpful ninja to trade with down the line)

But the servers are all going to run perfect, or so I've been told!

Not sure how @Masterblaster is maintaining the GB but he still hasn't closed it so I guess it's still happening. But the amount of copies he has to get to satisfy everyone who joined will be tough.
