Share your thoughts and let us know what's you're checking out!

And...feel free to share your personal top 10 list of favorite horror flicks of all time!

Have fun,

Yeah they were just doing it at this little local theater...

Tonight i'm going to a midnight screening of "Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence".

I hope it's better than the first one.

watched doghouse, that film is funny as hell.

going to watch the hitcher now.

Still need to watch doghouse, i've been meaning to as i'm a danny dyer fan. I hope you are watching the original hitcher snowblood and not the awful remake! Lol.
I watched Dark Water, it was a decent horror.

If you want creepy, how about "The Reaping"? If you want something that's bloody funny, how about "Otis"? And for all you old school horror fans(DigitalBabe) how about "Dolls" or "Killer Klowns from Outer Space"?

Dolls is really cool 80's fun. Really creeped me out as a kid, and held up well enough when I checked it out on NF instant fairly recently. Special FX by John Carl Buechler... who created the kick-ass version of Jason in The New Blood (and directed it too).

Killer Klowns I never really liked... a little too campy for me when I saw it waaaaay back as a kid. Is it on NF instant? Maybe I'll give it another try this month.

Good luck Jefx!!!! Weird little dude in that movie:p

The movie wasn't the best horror film i've ever seen.. but some of the scenes made the Human Centipede 1 look like a kids movie... There was one particular scene where EVERYONE in the audience was cringing and gasping... Then it kept going and going and the nervous laughter broke out as people were getting really screwed with... haha...

I hope you're not saying the first was bad? Let me know how it was.

I liked the idea of the first one but the execution wasn't very good... The acting was subpar and it was pretty slow...

The Doctor was amazingly creepy but it wasn't really what I wanted it to be... This new one certainly made up for that... If you liked the first one the second one is a must see!

you should,good film.
and yes it was the original hitcher, but i do like the remake:emb:

i hope you watched the original dark water (japanese) & not the horrible american remake.

If you like movies where you have no fingernails left, available on Netflix. Watch "Frozen" and an awesome movie from Balkan called "High Lane". I loved the Hitcher remake.

haven't seen high lane,i'll have to hunt that down.

going down the aus route today, wolf creek & the loved ones.

Re-watched 'The Thing' (Carpenter) over weekend-I love that film! I saw Frozen a while back, definitely a suspenseful flick...

Guilty, it was the remake! But in my defence it has the lovely Jennifer Connolly in it! I just watched Shelter, it was a good tense thriller.

Love Austrailian films, and DB after your ranting about The Thing, I finally watched it on Netflix last night. It was good, but special effects were definatey dated. I wish I had seen it when it first came out. Were all so spoiled with CGI now

Haha, yes, one must definitely put oneself in a "amazing effects for back then" mindset-I love the use of creepy music-John Carpenter is the man for that sort of thing!

I can't read this thread anymore... you guys are hurting my soul.

Positive comments about Human Centipede, calling TCM: The Beginning better then the original (and the general love for remakes), "Spoiled by CGI"? Did I step into the $&%%*$%* Twilight Zone???

Don't worry, I won't harass you any more. I know its not cool to argue opinions, especially in a thread like this that's supposed to be fun... just this 'horror' thread is the antithesis of everything I stand for in film.... it's like a punch in the gut. I must be getting old. :(

JP-I think it honestly would be a mistake to refrain from sharing your honest opinions. I think 'preferences' are dictated by a whole variety of factors-exposure, age range, film tastes, etc etc. This is a movie & entertainment forum-I hope you do decide to share your thoughts, but of course, it's up to you:)

DB it sounds like he's not too thrilled with my comments. I don't care, people like what they like. Yes I made the comment about CGI, but I still love to watch Ray Harryhausen films, the man was a genius, because they're fun. Look at the diffrences between the Clash of the Titans, story was better in the original. So I will try to contain myself from now on.
