I love how they are exclusive. It brings out the inner kid in me as I use to collect cards/comics and I had to buy/trade/get lucky in stores to get rare cards/comics. Guess me collecting steelbooks is that at a more expensive level ... lol And I do love having a good movie I enjoyed in a clean design casing.

For me it's like 80% collecting and 20% investment I guess. When I started buying my first steel, I just got addicted..... till you notice your collection is piling up end there's just too many of them, you try to collect only the ones you really like and want to let go some.....

Simple answer just the weight and feel to it with the artwork printed onto metal looks much better than being printed onto paper.

I collect steelbooks because they are art pieces which happened to be the best form of packaging for any physical media. And only Steelbooks™ makes the best and only ones in the world.

I started collecting steelbook when the amaray are so common and I thought steelbook would be rare to have back in Singapore. Never thought that I got so addicted and even bought a few version of the same movies, I'm so dead if my wife finds out I have so many version of the same movies. Sucker Punch, Iron Man2, Inception.

Yep I'm a sucker for movies and what better way to have them than in a nice steel case/book. As some have said it's ridicules how cheap the regular amaray movies are now. I mean I get price alerts on Blu-rays and some are even as low as $4.89. That's almost as low as DVD's get in the bargain bins at Walmart.

Love movies and I guess if I'm honest I just like collecting things - used to be comic books and Marvel figurines - now it's steelbooks

As others have said, when done right they look amazing!!

Never expected to get quite so..err...hooked...and trying to be as choosy as I can about what I buy, but also loving helping out members far and wide with the ones they can't get hold of that's as good a part of being here as the collecting bit for me

I think it's all four...it's a collectible Item, you love the quality of the product because it's a quality job by the company and it appreciates so you can actually sell it in the future if need to. Definitely way better than plastic expensive ****** amaray!
