Killzone 2 is an upcoming science fiction first-person shooter for the PlayStation 3, currently in development by Guerrilla Games and to be published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the third installment in the Killzone franchise that began on the PlayStation 2 with Killzone and was continued with Killzone: Liberation on the PlayStation Portable. First announced at E3 2005 in Los Angeles, California,[5] Killzone 2 is due for release in February 2009.

Killzone 2 follows the events of Killzone and Killzone: Liberation, and will take place entirely on the planet Helghan, the home-world of the Helghast, who invaded an Interplanetary Strategic Alliance (ISA) colony. Two years after the Helghast assault on Vekta, the ISA has launched an assault on the enemy's home world of Helghan. The ISA goal is to capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Scolar Visari, and bring the Helghast war machine to a halt. Players assume the role of Sergeant Tomas "Sev" Sevchenko, a battle-hardened veteran of the special forces unit known as "The Legion", who go on a mission to take out the Helghast threat.

During the invasion of Helghan, Sev's unit is deployed behind enemy lines to assist the main invasion force. Tasked with securing the enemy capital of Pyrrhus, the team quickly discovers that the Helghast are a more formidable enemy on their home planet. Not only have they adjusted to Helghan's hostile conditions, they have also harnessed a source of power they can now use against the ISA - the very planet on which they live. A barren, unforgiving world, Helghan provides a ready defense with thick, acidic air, dust clouds, and violent surgical lightning storms. Sev discovers his squad is not just fighting enemy forces – their fiercest opponent may be the planet itself

Im off the PS3 for a bit as i have been really busy with stuff but should be done when this Bad boy hits stores

PS If you have seen me online its probably my cousin

Hmm, Best Graphics... probably.. its very dungy so hard to tell, the characters look good, not much jaggies.

I'm a big fan of Uncharted, and think Uncharted 2 will give Killzone a run for its money..

KZ2 had alot more time to work on the game as opposed to UC2 ... I doubt it will be better because of it ... screenshots look good but still, I doubt it will live up to the first one graphics wise.

Are you kidding me, its using the same engine, so they already have it ready to go, they can tweak the hell out of it now.

And I like it big! (it was my phone, didn't think they would be that big.)

Seb Downie, QA Manager at Guerrilla Games has stated that he will look into the rumored controller/input/aiming lag that has split the Killzone 2 community in half.

Oh yeah!!! You better fix it!!! It's annoying as hell!

all an engine is, is backbone, has nothing to do with a games graphic ... its just like coding for a website for instance , like how the COD4 and COD5 lobbies are alot alike and carry some of the same game modes etc.

So same engine for UC just means he will aim the same, jump the same, mechanics and such ... graphics are entirely diff ...

Anyways back on topic. There is definately an aiming issue.

They talk about it here at about 3mins..

I haven't finished the video yet they are about to talk about that, it's ok I won't say it completely stops you from enjoying the game it didn't really bother me last night.

Just played it yesterday, pretty bad ass, I kinda expected a little more graphical wise but then I sat back and thought about it and knew it was still the best and most crisp I had seen , right up there with MGS4 cut scenes.

SAAAAAAAAAAAWWEEEEEEEEEEEET Just changed my controls to COD patterns!!!

Go to controls, pick alternate 2 .... then also on main control page option check the box ZOOM HOLD ..

this way, L1 is now your zoom, and when you release it it releases zoom much like COD4/5 :D
