Killzone 2 is an upcoming science fiction first-person shooter for the PlayStation 3, currently in development by Guerrilla Games and to be published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the third installment in the Killzone franchise that began on the PlayStation 2 with Killzone and was continued with Killzone: Liberation on the PlayStation Portable. First announced at E3 2005 in Los Angeles, California,[5] Killzone 2 is due for release in February 2009.

Killzone 2 follows the events of Killzone and Killzone: Liberation, and will take place entirely on the planet Helghan, the home-world of the Helghast, who invaded an Interplanetary Strategic Alliance (ISA) colony. Two years after the Helghast assault on Vekta, the ISA has launched an assault on the enemy's home world of Helghan. The ISA goal is to capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Scolar Visari, and bring the Helghast war machine to a halt. Players assume the role of Sergeant Tomas "Sev" Sevchenko, a battle-hardened veteran of the special forces unit known as "The Legion", who go on a mission to take out the Helghast threat.

During the invasion of Helghan, Sev's unit is deployed behind enemy lines to assist the main invasion force. Tasked with securing the enemy capital of Pyrrhus, the team quickly discovers that the Helghast are a more formidable enemy on their home planet. Not only have they adjusted to Helghan's hostile conditions, they have also harnessed a source of power they can now use against the ISA - the very planet on which they live. A barren, unforgiving world, Helghan provides a ready defense with thick, acidic air, dust clouds, and violent surgical lightning storms. Sev discovers his squad is not just fighting enemy forces – their fiercest opponent may be the planet itself

SAAAAAAAAAAAWWEEEEEEEEEEEET Just changed my controls to COD patterns!!!

Go to controls, pick alternate 2 .... then also on main control page option check the box ZOOM HOLD ..

this way, L1 is now your zoom, and when you release it it releases zoom much like COD4/5 :D

duh... lol... still lags..

when you swing yourself to aim at a diff person running up the acceleration is not fluid ... its a ***** ... thats my only gripe .. I wouldnt necessarily call it lag tho.

I even f'ed with the sensitivity and none of the settings gives an "ALOT" better feeling.

I'm convinced that all it is is a loose deadzone. no lag, no tv issues. just a loose, non-responsive deadzone.

Great News Guys!

EDIT-6: Sorry for the delay from me folks. Been very busy this week and wont be around tomorrow, so wanted to pop by quickly and let you in on my current thinking. At present we are leaning more and more towards a demo specific issue. Why or how this might have happened is unclear, but there just have been a couple too many internal sightings of more lag experienced on the demo than in the full game from disc. When I have an official answer I'll let you know, but right now it looks like this is a non-issue on the full game.

I still think is because of current lag problems with sets, dude I see no lag, Tek's deadzone theory makes sense, but I still do not see any problems. I hope those issues don't occur on the full game like what they are saying otherwise there's going to be complaints left and right! lol

I haven't noticed any lag issues whatsoever in the demo. Must be the tv;) But seriously, no issues here. Now a game with issues is the REsident Evil 5 demo. The control issues in that game are sickening.

Yeah, I mean I understand it's similar or the same as RE4 but cmon now, not being able to move and shoot or knife is stupid. How are the enemys able to do that, yet you can't? Half the time I spent running away so I could get some distance to get some shots off.
