Can we get a sticky for this? :D

What do ya'll prefer to drink? Beer, Wine, Hard Liquor, Wine Coolers? All of them?

I only drink Beer and Hard Liquor. Mint Mojito is about the only thing close to a wine cooler I'll drink though LOL

Hangover Remedies

What's everyone's favorite?

I only bring this up because this weekend I enjoyed a thorough injection of commercial beer which always tends to give me a headache. Especially when I drink the equivalent of a 30 pack.

Mine #1 is to try to sleep it off, but since that hasn't been an option since having a kid around and having "responsibilities" I have to do my best with what I got.

Hot shower, pickles and salty chips, lots of water. If I do like I did this weekend and REALLY go overboard I find that a cold shower instead of hot helps with the alcohol sweat. Follow it up again with loads of water and if my stomach isn't churning I'll throw down a BLT with extra bacon, or cold pizza.

Yeah... cold pizza and a beer really helps.

For a hang over? I just go and get me some menudo ;) nothings cures the hang over better than that. When there's not menudo then I resort to beer and clamato with some lemon and salt :D

I got none of this near me?

When I was on the road pedialyte was also common. Amazing how many musicians drink pedialyte...

what?! what the heck is that?! lol :)

i was thinking the same thing.

went to the local grocery store near our new place, saw they had a bunch of 5 liter mini kegs for purchase. the whole liquor store was pretty expansive, lots of hard stuff, wine, beer, you name it.

they had a mini keg of a beer called oberon. anybody have it before? im thinking of getting it for a taste try.

Never heard of that beer, I might have to stroll by some of the keg places and ask.

I looked up this Menudo stuff...

Wellll I think I'd just make a beef/chicken broth rather than stick feet and stomachs in a pot of peppers and onions

Pretty sure it tastes good, but now that I know what's being chucked in there i'll pass. I'm not usually that picky, I've slaughtered pigs/cows and taken the fresh cuts straight to the kitchen... but I never had the desire to eat their feet or stomachs.. those were generally scrapped for feed or the dogs

:hilarious:

I think it's important to be upfront about what's in a dish so that you aren't inadvertantly offending anyone. It's like peeing in tea and telling someone AFTER they drink it. Yes, I think it is exactly like that!

I'm wary of anyone who is mysterious about whats in something :squint:

hahaha! I just say it's shut up and eat :hilarious:

TONIGHT IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PATRON, I'LL BE SHOOTING IT WHILE I'M DOING REPAIRS ON MY SERVER. IT'S GOOD STUFF BUT QUITE EXPENSIVE.
