Can we get a sticky for this? :D

What do ya'll prefer to drink? Beer, Wine, Hard Liquor, Wine Coolers? All of them?

I only drink Beer and Hard Liquor. Mint Mojito is about the only thing close to a wine cooler I'll drink though LOL

hmm I only know a bit of Tequila, some of the other guys can talk about beer.

Anyway, here's my list:

Don Julio Silver - very smooth doesn't burn on the way down
Don Julio 1942 Añejo - This will burn ya throat but it's damn good aged tequila! Only comes out every few seasons not widely available year long.
Jose Cuervo Tradicional - This is one of my favorites! Put it in your freezer and drink it chilled.
Cazadores - This is drank at my home during parties like it's water :) love it. It's not too strong yet it not too smooth. Perfect balance.
Cazadores Añejo - is also damn good

I had some Don Julio Real at a bar and damn it! one of the best I've ever had!!!

As far as Whiskey goes I've only had Gentlemen Jack and it wasn't bad. Now Irish Whiskey I've had Jameson's, Finian's , but Bushmills takes the cake man it was good whiskey.

I am not too savvy on Vodka. All the stuff I pointed out is available here in the United States.

I am Mexican so I drink a lot of tequila.
Had the regular Don Julio Sliver and I liked it.
I drink Cazadores quite often, I think it's a very smooth tequila but I like it a lot. Jose Cuervo is horrible in my opinion, I cannot stand the taste, it is the only liquor so far I MUST have a chaser with.

Have you tried Jimador before? Pretty good, better than Cazadores in my opinion. They also make a Jimador Reposado which is pretty damn good.

Welcome. I'm not nearly as good with beer recomendations as some of the other guys, but I am fan of the dark beers and a big fan of Crown Royal. The basic Crown is good, but you pay for what you get. Lately, I've been drinking Crown Royal Reserve. It's in the gold box and costs a few bucks more, but it's well worth it. Crown XR (Xtra Rare) and Crown Cask 16 will set you back $100+ and would be great for special occasions. They are so smooth and so good.

Will definitely pick some up next time I am at the store to try it out. Thanks.

Where do you live? It will help me figure out what beer you should try. Lol

I am located in Yuma Az, right now. It's a town next to the border, not any breweries I know of around here unless I got to Phoenix, Tucson or San Diego. Travel to San Diego quite often so if anyone knows a good place there any recommendations would be appreciated.

Well my friend I have two places you should visit. Stone Brewing Co. in Escondido and Alesmith Brewing Company in San Diego. Alesmith's Speedway stout is the #20 beer in the world according to beeradvocate.com. It is also im my top 10 list of beers to try before i die haha. Stone is great all around and you can find their beers all over the place. Another place that you could probably find there beer around that area is Russian River Brewing. They should distribute somewhere around there. Pliny the Elder is the #6 beer and Pliny the Younger is the #2 beer in the world also on my list haha. But Russian river has a few beers in the top 100. Good luck and let me know what you find.

Also see if you can find a good local beer store and talk to them. they can usually help you out a lot trying to find the right beer for you if you are looking for new things to try.

Hello fellow alcohol loving members.
I am looking for some recommendations on beer, wine and hard liquor/drinks.
Beer wise, I like Newcastle, Strella, Tecate, Becks, Red Stripe.
Hard Liquors I enjoy include, Scotch whiskey, tequila and vodka
Any recommendations are welcome.
Keep in mind I live in the US so not all of the same stuff that you international people drink might be available.

Fat Tire is a damn good beer that compares to Newcastle.

As for Tequila some of my favs have been mentioned. You have to try some Asombroso though. Herradura is good **** too.

Scotch Whiskey i roll with Buchanan's. Red Seal ;) Runs about 150-160 a bottle. 500 at a club EEK!

I have to agree with your comment about Jose Cuervo, except for Tradicional, all other JC I can't stand.

Jimador is one of my favorites! I can't believe I forgot about it :) I've had the reposado as well and it's good.

Try Tres Generaciones is also good.

Wow, I have a lot of good options around me. Next time I am in the San Diego area I will definitely go to at least one of those places. I tried speaking to some people in some stores but most people around here seem to stick to one beer for the rest of their life. Most people around here drink Bud Light which is pretty tasteless for me, might as well drink water.

Thanks for the tequila recommendations.
Don't think I ever heard of Fat Tire but I will certainly keep an eye out for it.
Buchanan's is one of my favorite. Red seal is pretty good but I usually don't spend lots of money on liquor because I rarely know anyone that can appreciate some good liquor and it seems like a waste to let people that do not appreciate it drink it. I always try to have at least a bottle of regular Buchanan's or Johny Walker Black to have a glass while I relax and watch some TV. Some people have told me Blue Label is VERY good but too pricey unless it's for a special occasion.

Tried out Fat Tire BigRick and it is pretty good. I would describe it as New Castle/Blue Moon Taste. Blue Moon is not one of my favorite beers but I like the hint of Blue Moon taste Fat Tire has. I also tried Sapporo and liked it; Nothing special but it is a good beer.

well this week i can finally get some Goose Island Bourbon Coffee Stout. The one store I go to is only getting 8 bottles. luckily my name is on one. Its already up to #6 beer in the world on BA so im pretty excited.

Congrats. I got a 5 pack of Schlafly's Pale Ale yesterday for Mother's Day. :hilarious: Diva's Dad picked it up, but he wasn't a fan of how hoppy it was, so he gave it to me. :scat:

Current beer supply:
4 - Schlafly Pale Ale
2 - Founder's KBS
2 - Guinness
and some Bud Light.

Congrats.

well now there may be an issue getting some. my beer guy said he got 1 case on friday and that they sold out in a day. he was saying he had one set aside for me and one for him, but one of his workers sold them without him knowing so he wasnt too happy. I think one store i shop at is getting 8 bottles and he is gonna call me if they come in. i have two more stores to check but its not looking good. I want 2 bottle one for now and one to age. now if i get one i dunno what to do with it.

Is this the Goose Island?

yea it is. its sucks that there is so little. Michigan got a lot of the regular bourbon county stout, i think more than many other states. but this coffee stout there is only 5 cases for this side of the state. some stores are only getting one bottle.

i also picked my dad up some Hopquila for his birthday. its made by New Holland Brewing Company here in Michigan. Its tequila steeped with Cenntenial Hops. Its actually really good and it was only $30. here is a description from their website.

A fermented wash of 100% barley is twice distilled, then steeped with Centennial hops. The vivacious spirit features a grain-centric body framed by citrus-laden hop character in the nose and finish.

Wow. I wonder if any of that is available in my area?

It was a sad day yesterday, I kicked my first keg in the kegerator :( It was the pale ale too, I liked that one better than my red ale and now that's all I have left *sniffle*

That's always the worst... :(

I always try to drink the one I don't like first and then have like 1 or 2 glasses of the good stuff before I'm done for the night...

...It never works :emb:

You could make some yourself really easily. Just buy your favorite spirit and then get some centennial hops.. like an ounce or so, and just pour the spirit in a big jar or glass vessel and put the hops in... let it sit for a week or so and then strain the spirits off back into the bottle.

BLAM! :naughty:
