Can we get a sticky for this? :D

What do ya'll prefer to drink? Beer, Wine, Hard Liquor, Wine Coolers? All of them?

I only drink Beer and Hard Liquor. Mint Mojito is about the only thing close to a wine cooler I'll drink though LOL

I was at the local licka sto' and there were the boulevard brewing, co. folks there have a tasting session for their new double wit which chimes in at 8.2%... Apparently they do a sour mash and use orange peel, coriander, grains of paradise, and lavender with a wit-bier base.. they ferment with a hefeweizen yeast at higher temps to bring out a subtle bubblegum note.

I was actually impressed with it. They said it will be a limited run but the guy at the store is going to reserve a couple 750ml bottles for me.

they just got in large bottles of New Belgium Fat Tire at my local grocery store, and i was pumped about that. going to pick up a few bottles of those today!!

Gonna be getting some Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale and Stone Cali-Belgique. My beer guy got a case of each and said he would hold me one bottle of each. Also probably some Allagash Confluence Ale also a rare one. Any one try them?

Never tried any of those - your beer guy is cooler than the sto' I go to.

Here in Kansas they can't import on their own they have to order from a supplier that imports beers. So if the supplier doesn't import it, no store in Kansas will have it, evar.

Meanwhile, I'm racking and carbing the "ALE" tonight and should have a shipment ready to go in about a week. The Peach Wheat turned out just great, the Irish Red will clear in the bottle, and the lavender apple wine tastes right on par with past batches. I'll make sure you get three bottles of that stuff, you really need to drink one or two to start to appreciate it.

I think that if I send you 3 of each style that's collectively a 12-pack of homebrew. I'll cut out a couple regular ales and stuff in those boulevards.

yeah my beer guy says he has to go through a lot to get some of the rare items. but its cool that he hooks me up like he does. he even gives me discounts on things.

yeah I can probably send you, a red, IPA, oatmeal stout, some founders and bells. I can even send you one of my holiday ales and barleywines but they still need months to age

I forgot to mention i was at a well known dragonmead brewery this past weekend and had some pretty tasty beverages. one that I was hoping to try was Ring of Fire with is a chile beer which is mad with Habaneros and jalapenos. every time i go to get it they are out so im gonna try again soon. but i ended up buying a bottle of Armageddon Grand Cru which is a quad and one of these lovely tap handles

Holy god... This beer is f**king awesome! :scat:

This is a firm imperial stout. Great hop character throughout, strong chocolate and dark roasted flavors with a bit of smoke in the malt. The surprise is while it is a thicker beer it is very smooth to drink with a wonderful bouquet of dark fruits and spike of alcoholic taste. The best part is while this beer rocks a 9% the alcohol notes actually seem to compliment the taste and give the hops lift.

This beer claims to be the only stout wheat beer in existence.. I don't know if that's true, but for $9 a 1 pint .9 fl oz. bottle it lives up to its price per bottle. Truly a beer lovers stout! I'm a firm believer of replicating this bad boy!

Just amazing. Too bad I have to wait to get more!

If my local guy can get it from the midwest supplier then you *should* be able to get it elsewhere.

I asked my local store to see if he can't get his hands on more bottles of the stuff. I'd hit up your local liquor store (the one with big selections) and ask them if they can get a bottle or two for you.

Totally worth it. I liked the beer till the last drop.

EDIT: I just looked at the back of the bottle and it showed that it was imported by the Shelton Brothers... so it is rarer than I thought. If your beer store can't find it by the original brewery name try to have them look it up with the Shelton Brothers as the distributor.

Bum news! Now I feel even more guilty for drinking it right away!

well i went to Dragonmead Brewery again this weekend and finally got to try Ring of Fire. Man what a crazy beer. As soon as you put it up to your nose you could smell the hot peppers and the finish on it left the heat of the peppers in your mouth. Definitely an interesting beer to drink.

I just had some of my aged apple cider/wine er whatever that I had infused with lavendar awhile ago.. like.. 3 months or so.

It tastes freaking aweosme! It's like... appley... and then lavendery... and then like my mouth doesn't have any aftertaste. It's like HELLOOO APPLES!!! and then HELLOOO LAVENDAR!!! and then .... nothing! Dry, crisp, and clean!

I think im drunlk.
