Can we get a sticky for this? :D

What do ya'll prefer to drink? Beer, Wine, Hard Liquor, Wine Coolers? All of them?

I only drink Beer and Hard Liquor. Mint Mojito is about the only thing close to a wine cooler I'll drink though LOL

no kidding! I cracked open my 1lb bag of galena the other day and just took a handful and rubbed it all together and shoved my nose in it... sticky icky wonderful hoppyness!

Good plan on the flush mount rather than a tower, mine was already made to be a tower beer fridge, but I have a freezer I'm going to build a collar for and convert to a flush mount tap.. I have 3 taps now, but I fell in love with my Perlick faucet.. NO STICKY TAPS! So I think I'm going to have to swap the other 2 out for Perlicks

Kegged my Orange APA this weekend.. it finished very sweet about 1.020 however I decided not to let it attenuate all the way as this thing is bitter. I think there's plenty of nose but I'm curious to see how it plays out when it carbs/chills down and all the out of control elements condense a bit... Hopefully the malt doesn't become overbearing once it's chilled...

It does, however, slap you in the face with hops. If you let it roll onto the back of your tongue you get a sharp ZING of galena bitter.

Founders KBS is out. Should be able to pick some up tomorrow!!!! Also Goose Island Night Stalker Imperial Stout should be available this week so I hope to pick that up.

Hm, I'll have to keep an eye out on that goose island, they do some pretty good stuff, I like their honker's ale a lot.

I got a couple experiments going, unfortunately the apple cider bit it before I could save a bottle. Apparently when the wife went to bed early before I got home she had been tippin back the apple stuff in generous sums and emptied out the tank. So I got a double batch of cider going and now am experimenting with an Apple Raspberry cider.. it smells delightful, so hopefully it finishes with the same characteristics.

:hilarious::hilarious: Sounds like a glowing recommendation then!!

the scary part about drinking that much apple stuff is that it sneaks up on you, and if you get hammered on it it's like tequila, you get out of your element and do things you wouldn't normally do and you wake up feeling regretful but you're not sure why :hilarious:

I went to American Micro saturday at this local place called Capital Ale House. They have over 100 taps and on saturdays, all american micros are only $2.00 for a 12 oz draught. Needless to say, I got a few:smashed: I haven't had green flash IPA in years, but had it this weekend and it really blew me away. It was exaggerated by any alcohol either, it was my first one! I've already got a pale ale going into my first keg, but I'm highly debating putting a clone of the Green Flash IPA in the other.

I got the fridge over the weekend, although it has a dent in the lower back left corner. I'll probably just live with it, it's still cooling. And ironically, my kegs are supposed to be delivered on wens, st. patty's day. I also had some amazon credit and got a new Perlick 525SS faucet with the it:D

beer fridges don't have to look pretty, it's what is on the inside that is being kept cold that counts!

This is the perlick I got except all stainless steel with no finish.. that faucet end unscrews out of the tap although besides for cleaning I'm not sure why? but it does make it more expensive than yours apparently

I looooove the faucet though, I kid you not my other taps will stick after only 1 day of not using the tap, this thing has gone a week or two without being used and it pulls just as easy as it did the first time.

Can't wait to see pics of your setup :oohyeah:

I saw that when I was looking at the Perlick website. It says something about it being cheaper to manufacture so it passes the savings on to the consumer.... I don't know either:confused: Really looking forward to it all though. I'll be getting another amazon gift card when I pay the credit card bill this month so I'll hop on the second Perlick. I won't have the second keg filled by then anyways so I should be good to go :D

its finally here!!! 2010 KBS!!!:scat:

How far out do they distribute this stuff? I was looking at their site, and I'm interested in trying the KBS, Nemisis, Imperial Stout, and Breakfast Stout.

I hope it turns out to be as glorious as you've heard! I always tend to build things up too much and at times I'm a little disappointed :emb:

Oh its always good. I have some 09 bottles in my cellar that i want to compare. Its hard to find this stuff and usually you can only buy 1 or 2 bottles. Im gonna try to get as much as i can find.

Yeah I'll be drinking the guinness when I get off work. The wife has the corned beef and cabbage in the crockpot.

nothing like corned beef, horseradish, some taters and cabbage with some onions and beer. It's gonna be a STINKY night at my house!

:ass:

yeah i dunno what im gonna do tonight. either stay down in Detroit or head up by my house where they got some good beer on tap and some fantastic corned beef and cabbage.

The only problem with going out tonight is that EVERYONE thinks they are Irish and it really just ends up being amatuer night at the bars.... I'll be starting on my kegerator and having a few pints with a few friends.

On second thought, how much corned beef has your wife prepared Alpha :p

4 pounds. lol

Building a kegerator on St. Patty's day? I know of no more nobler cause.

It does get kinda old when everyone starts walkin around talkin' like an irish aye?
