Ive just noticed this release and i have to say that is such a greedy marketing strategy making all 3 spines match up.

For 3 copies (expensive copies) of the same film are they nuts? Who would want 3 copies of the same movie sat in a line just to make a pointless spine image?

These asian companies have collectors hook, line & sinker :hilarious:

First it was a bit of cardboard with funny writing on for double the price, now its 3 bits of cardboard with a spine image for 6x the price :p

Whatever floats your boat though i guess ;)

I can see why some people would choose not to invest in certain Asian steels, but there's no need to mock others for their choices of what they wish to collect.

Yes, the Blufans releases are more expensive than other Steelbook releases. But that doesn't mean that people who collect them are stupid for paying those prices. They make an educated decision to do so and are generally very happy with their purchases.

A collector of Blu-rays in regular amaray cases would probably think it's nuts to pay more for a metal casing when the content is the same. But Steelbook collectors have made the decision that they are happy to pay the difference in price and justify it for their enjoyment. Well it's the same if you take the next step to paying more for cool slips or collecting specific retailer exclusives.

Collectors come in all shapes and sizes. What some may class as expensive will be affordable to others. It's all relative to your situation or income.

Before anyone casts judgement just remember that there is no right or wrong when it comes to collecting ;)

Members here buy multiple releases of the same film all the time. This tri-pack release with the matching spine is a plus. If you are a steelbook collector and a Star Trek nut like myself then you see this as Blufans getting it as far as what we want. I have anticipated getting this release more than any other this year and count myself as lucky for getting in the group buy and cannot thank Kevin enough. I also have the phaser gift set, the villain ship gift set and the Korean release. But you know what, I guarantee there are members here who have even more releases but are getting this as well. Look how fast the group buy went and you will get an idea as for the excitement for these awesome steels.
