I decided on Choice A because it will be like the ES version (unfortunately the same edge border for embossing) but hopefully a nice slipbox like Jack Reacher (not slipcover). And the extras...who knows? A fat picture book with English text, G2-size would rock. Keep dreamin'

hmmm, i'm still not sure if i should get on this GB for version A or not...

pro: i'm one of those who really like the collection to be complete when i once started to get on a certain series. and i'm really tempted to get blufans #11 godfather trilogy...

con: i'm absolutely not interested in this film... not into sci-fi (except of alien, e.t., and a few others), then that's star trek part 12 now, have not seen one of them and i dont feel i missed something...
then blufans #9 will be "the lone ranger", another movie i'm not keen on.

spending around 70 euros on a steelbook i don't essentially need?

The Lone Ranger is a concern of mine too. It's the only steel out of the first 11 that I don't want. I'd be much happier if they put it in the same series as G.I. Joe and Elite Squad and have it outwith the numbered collection.

That is ok, my friend. It is about the collecting what you like, not about completing. Be selective is the way to go under the shower of steelbook releases everywhere.

side note: since some members quite confused about the tripack, here we go
They are limited to 200 now due to a popluar demand, used to 100.
First 100 sold out in a minute, that comes with a villian ship model.
The rest doesn't have the ship. In each pack , you will have 3 different steelbooks with 3 different slips, and the number for each slip will be same. each steelbook will have a photo booklet that is slightly different from each other. All the steelbooks will be housed in a transparent plastic case that at least is the initial plan, still waiting for approval from the studio.

but you are right, there is simply too many releases of several kinds coming up the next months, so i will have to save my money... even what you write about this triple pack set sounds so tempting again. blufans makes me want things i actually dont want.

So glad I ordered this, had to cancel OZ & LGB Lenticular to help fund it. Plastic case sounds good. A couple of Star Trek stickers to round it off please. Hope I made the right decision.

edit: ah i get it, it's the villain model triple pack thats limited to 100, and another 100 of the triple without the villain. still 1500 print run, right?

Couldn't agree more, everyone collects steels for different reasons and everyone has different tastes in what movies they like, so only way for everyone to be happy is to just buy what they like

A plastic case for the steels sounds really bad ass can't wait to see what that looks like along with the image the combined slips produced

Yeah I'm talking about the 3 steels in the clear case. There will only be 200 of those sets. As you say there will be another 300 copies of each steel, but having them with the same numbers in the case is what sets them apart.

I think 200 out of the 1500 will come with the plastic set. Of those 200, I believe 70 or so were available for the gb. For the single gb if you ordered all 3, I don't believe they will come with the outer case (if there is one)
