Come on, the only information was my opinion unless you didn't know who the director was for episode VIII in which case I should have put a spoiler up :wacky:
Others here have stated their thoughts on the film and it's not like we are going to see any info on the steel for quite a while and being Disney it could change the week before release.

Your opinion references the context and layout of this movie with a notion of it being sad. Maybe it isn't what is seems but that is what I got from what you said and it is a contextual spoiler and that is my opinion :stop:

Anyway, I am unplugging until I have seen this movie on Saturday :hungry:

Catch you later Ninjas :)

I absolutely loved this film.

Please only read the spoiler if you have seen the film.

I'm in love with daisy Ridley- she's great in this, Kylo ren is f*cking awesome- something about his manorisms and Adam drivers voice, BB-8 steals the show - he/ its incredible, loved seeing the old cast back and Han Solo was quality too.
Loved all the random creatures and aliens and it really felt like the orginal trilogy. Some great humour with the stormtrooper like previous films and some random creature moments that I loved (for instance the creature that pops up and has a little moan at the start when BB 8 goes through the dessert)
The 3D was good too with some great depth on certain scenes, especially when you first meet rey.
A lot of the things I thought was going to happen did happen and it's kinda predictable but enjoyable still.

I wonder is snoke really is that big or is it an illusion and really he's tiny like yoda.

CGI and action was on point

Only things that were a bit crappy was max von not lasting too long and captian phasma was pretty crappy. Also I knew Luke would turn up at the end but not that short lol

I still think rey is lukes daughter and I'm guessing he will be training her in the next film. The way she is with fixing things makes me think it's his daughter (from when she's in the falcon fixing it i thought that) plus the force and the lightsaber visions all adds up.

Also action was quite savage in the sense of storm troopers getting shot and killed.

Also a lot of tributes to the old films which I didn't mind.

Can't wait to see it again and the rest of the trilogy.

I agree 100%. Adam Driver what a great performance . Also the character of Kylo (sKYwalker soLO) is so interesting, genuine and believable. Not some over the top character, which you couldn't take seriously. I think many can identify with this character.

I found this picture, the little guy on the back in Rey's dream could be Snoke

I totally agree, Rey is Luke's daughter. Luke will train Rey, as they have already filmed scenes for episode 8 both Mark and Daisy. Mark Hamill almost died shooting episode 8. I wonder if Mara Jade is the mother and one character in the upcoming films? Interesting to see what character will Benicio Del Toro play?

I thought that too about Rey being Lukes daughter. Especially at the end. I think the music certainly might have hinted at it.

Also loved the stormtrooper kills in this. The laser hits were awesome. Really packed a punch as should be. And the dogfights........Oh my, the dogfights!!!!!

Some pieces from the trailers and TV spots were missing I noticed. Like when Kylo Ren does that stance in tbe snow stomping hus foot with the lightsaber. Also the creature handing Lukes lightsaber to Leia (I believe it was. I think it was the female creature with the goggles)

thats why I saw a midnight screening couldn't take the chance on having someone spoil it for me. Got home at 3am woke up the Chug and ordered the Steelbook.

I am quite sad after seeing it, I have hope that Rian can do a better job but right now I am not too optimistic about any future Star Wars movies after seeing this fanboy effort.
There great bits in there but as a whole way too much trying to please the prequel haters and rehashing previous movies.
I'm still in for the steel but after seeing all seven at the cinema I have never felt down like I do right now :(

haters gonna hate

too much negativity!

I think people giving even an opinion can be deemed as a spoiler I think the film was incredible personally.
Anyone who loves Star Wars and didn't get choked up, even a little at some points and feel real depth and appreciate the sheer quality of this new movie must have no soul, lol to describe it as a 'fanboy effort' is a pretty embarrassing analysis and I hope no one takes that remark as fact. The film is one of the best star wars films, it's got an awesome script and wonderful acting and it made me remember (not that I had forgotten) but remember how much I love Star Wars

I got up earlier and went to see this today - I really enjoyed it. Definitely keeping my pre-order.

It's causing quite the stir on IMDb (spoilers ahoy) some people are saying it's the worst of the films. Although personally I love all of them, even the prequels. So in my books there's never been a truly bad Star Wars film.

I just thought of a flaw in that particular theory......

My 9 year old boy just pointed out to me that she did say 'Luke Skywalker, I thought he was a myth' when Finn mentioned him. Wouldn't Rey have known that Luke was her father then? She looked about 6 or 7 in the vision when her parents were taken.....

Here here. Completely agree with that

There has never been a bad Star Wars film and this is most definitely not just a great Star Wars film but an bloody epic film.

I could have predicted people would slate it sadly people do it for the sake of it they can't bear that people may do well and enjoy something it's pretty sad. I'm never really swayed by reviews. Everyone should see it and make their mind up. As I said this isn't just an awesome Star Wars film it is an incredible film. If you ever liked Star Wars I can't see anything not to love in this film. A truly passionate, thrilling and wonderful homage to the previous films.

Yes I agree, we always have little niggles, but for a movie with so many expectations it delivered the most and some of things can be overlooked. Director was good, John Williams in his element and the whole cast did tremendous job, both old & young. Lots of likeable and interesting characters, few weaker ones. Force Awakens didn't suffer the tragicomic acting like we saw from Hayden Christensen and some others in the prequel trilogy. Ofcourse you cannot only blame the actors, since you need a good director also. I'm so happy for many things in this movie and I know Episode 8 will be even better, since few reasons which I'm not going to spoil here.

Agreed awesome cast and script incredible feeling while watching this.
I freaking love Star Wars, bring on the next film, amazing job done by JJ Abrams and everyone involved

I didn't feel like the film was trying to make out Rey has Skywalker blood since Kylo does already. That would make the force users a pretty inclusive bunch. Though it is a bit suspect her surname hasn't been revealed.

The movie was incredible :wacky::watch::wow::thumbs: Adam Diver was great in this :joy::angel:

Luke Skywalker says in the first trailer " The Force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it. My sister has it. You have that power, too ". I always assumed the sequels would be stories of Skywalker and Solo children. Also I think the sequels follow certain formula. The Force Awakens has lots of same elements as A New Hope, so as for Episode 8, Rey might found out Luke being her father, just like Luke found out in Vader being his father in Episode 5.

Luke did have a Jedi academy so obviously it is a inclusive bunch just that the films plot lines revolve around a inclusive bunch.

Very good. Slight more opinion hidden in spoiler

was incredible to feel more than 1 emotion - I think 4 in total (one of which was relief that I felt more than all 3 prequels in the first 20 minutes of this). Characters to care about, to root for.

I'm reading in a lot of places it's a 'fanboys' rehash. Yeah I forgot that making a character led story is a fanboy thing to do. Better go back to watching half the people/creatures having a lightsaber (or 4).

That is exactly right it took you on a rollercoaster of emotions, which only good films can do. I was concerned I wouldn't feel an emotional connection with the new film but it hit you in those heart strings almost immediately, that is the true sign of sheer excellent filmmaking
