True, but if the 3D version looks good then I can always jump on it after I've seen pics. Warner still have a lot of work to do in France imo

I also ordered the Gollum one as I really wanted that one. But after seeing the pictures I am also glad I cancelled my order yesterday. That gold banner across the top is horrible I think !! Would have been so much better without that spoiling the great image of The Precious...

Wow thats terrible, are all of them going to have that back cover that doesnt match the rest of the steelbook?

Looks like the UK one is the one that looks the best after seeing the others as the artwork actually matches and includes the hobbit!

hmm not quite, if you want Lenti-Steel get MM one (I am), if you want just the 3D one and non-lenti then get TW one (I have), you want sexy slips and nice extra gifts then you should have joined my man Alex/n3wk1d's GB for the 3D/2D steelbooks from Singapore (I did), they are the coolest Hobbits out there

Does anyone know if this french version has been confirmed as lenticular? If so then surely this will be exactly the same as the MM one? Other than french v german text obviously

Just cancelled the order of the Gollum Steelbook. I was i a dispute with myself, when I saw The Gandalf version. I just wait until there are more pictures of that Gollum Steelbook online.
Otherwise I'll go for the UK one, It's also a lot cheaper

Sorry but why is everybody freaking out again? The Steelbook looks exactly the same as the artworks that have been known for months. That the golden banner would be printed was known too.

I will support Warner's great step of switching to G2 by keeping my preorder of all three 2D Steelbooks. I think they look great and are something special between the dozens of similar and boring lenticular Hobbit Steelbooks all over the world.

I didn't know it would have that green coloured Gandalf on the back. I always assumed that the artwork on the back would match the front.
The contrast between front and back is too much for me....

I think the Gandalf one is really nice, shame I wasn't that impressed by the film itself, don't know if I can warrant buying one if I probably won't watch the film again
