Hope its different steelbook cover :D

I agree. If Amazon.co.uk are going to offer another Hobbit SteelBook so soon after the last one, I would expect them to make an effort to change the artwork, rather than just adding "3D" to the existing artwork

Why they couldn't have made the previous release a 3D affair is anyone's guess

Knew it was better waiting for the Extended Edition. I only hope that the other 2 films not only get steels as well, but also matching ones as well to this (And the regular steel for all you collectors).

And for that matter, some UK LOTR Steels to go with them too. :3

lol i been wondering why this was being bumped all the time. today i finally read the title properly and i c its actually the extended edition containing 3D version!

d'oh :hilarious:

but yeah, AWESOME news and it makes me glad i had the principles to ignore the suckass original UK steel  didnt have the cash to follow thorough on the koren version like i planed to get either. so this is great news for me :)

really hope we get sum sweet new art though, that original one was godawfu art wise

Got the Futureshop steelbook but looks like I'll be double dipping on this one if the steel is nicer. If not, then I'll just put the EE discs in the other steelbook case.

I bought a 3D projector a few months ago and still haven't watched a 3D film begining to end. Don't know if it's my eyes or it's my set-up, but it's too uncomfortable. I'll still buy it in 3d though.

I also sometimes find it difficult to watch 3D movies as well even in the cinema. My eyes get tired really quickly for some reason?

In a nutshell why this technology has never taken off, and never will.

People don't want to have to worry about migranes before watching a film.

I waited. Because, well... we all knew this would happen.

I'll probably buy all the steelbooks in extended edition, and then when the Hobbit trilogy is complete, they will release an ultimate extended collection, and then I can sell off the steels and get that to match my ultimate LOTR edition. :scat:

I wonder if it'll be the French artwork,

Either Gollum , Gandalf or Baginses on the front.

Depending on the price and artwork I will double dip this one. :movie:
