@Noodles
Guess you're a fan now too huh?
I certainly am! Regret passing on their other steels because I stupidly thought they weren't worth the extra money... my opinion completely flipped once I held their The Wrestler release in my hands and saw it with my own eyes. Seems they stepped it up even further with this steel... can't wait! :woot:

Wow. Originally thought the standard full slip was the least impressive of the three, but that gloss black foil lettering on the reverse looks absolutely sick. It could well be the dark horse of the three. *Can't wait*

*[Thanks @severo ! :D]

'THE MASTER' Lenticular Design Guidelines :

1) Use of high resolution artwork.
2) No gimmicks that could harm the tone of the film with awkward 3D effect.
3) Stay true to the original artwork.
4) Minimize distortion from various angles.
5) Do not be a lenticular for the sake of being one.

From PA Facebook

Do you get an option when ordering to mark down the value to avoid customs charges? I was going to wait and get the lenti from ebay but now iv seen that video I think it would be wise to get it while it's still in stock.

I think this is the best release so far from PA. Hats off to them.

Having said that I passed on this one as well as DBC and Eternal Sunshine as they are not my cup of Tea.

I am looking forward to ZDT though.
Just so other people reading the thread don't get confused:
DBC and Eternal Sunshine are Kimchidvd releases. Not sure why you mentioned them in this thread about a Plain release.

Good to see the market starting to produce more Lenticular Full Slips. I just think the packaging for full slips are better and the bigger booklets are nice to have. But now we can have both in one package!

You can send them a message and ask to mark the price down. I think they will do it anyway without you asking.

Lenticular Slip Booklet
The booklet in the Lenticular Slip is the smaller 32 page booklet it will be inside the steelbook

Even though it is 8 less pages, usually the booklet is only 16 pages with a lenti. It's a step in a better direction though. Full slip lenti's are pretty nice :)

What's the reasoning for these not being sold out yet?
It was not a success in the cinemas
Budget $32 million
Box office $28,258,060
Its an art house film
Some art house films do very well while others don't

It did get nominated for lot of awards and the film received universal acclaim

Its always that way with most art house films very well made with good acting but often don't do well at the cinemas which results in lot of people not getting to see the film but can years later get a new following from sales of DVD/Blu ray can increase its popularity but that does not always happen
Marketing a film like this is important if you want it to be a success

I had a feeling it was the film itself, definitely not for everyone regardless of the big names and director linked to it. The product itself is near flawless and I was more than happy to order one of these just now.

This is one PTA film I have not seen, but I really like TWBB, Magnolia ect so do you think I'll like the master?

Love the look of the lenti and full slip so just might order them soon. IMO these slips are the best I have ever seen, the detail is outstanding.
